Thought Burgoyne is about to sign for Morecambe.
Maybe if money is tight PH is going to use the young lad as sub keeper on the bench, and if Savin gets injured get in an emergency loan quickly.

I feel the same about the tories and labour especially labour, ย it was like having Putin in charge last time they were around, ย what short memories some have, ย I bet the population of Iraq are fearing our version of the Taliban getting back in power Out of the options available who would you prefere as PM? You've told us who you don't want, who do you want? That's the whole problem though isnt it. A huge percentage of voters are voting for someone they dont really think will do any good just so they dont vote for the other bloke who they think will be worse. No wonder loads of people think it's a total waste of time.

Well Said Feedo. No offence to ant of the guys that have come from Ireland but sometimes it's best to get in proven players. The guys from Ireland I'm sure were ment to be players to work on and bring up to the level required over time hence the long contracts. Due to our injury list that wasnt possible so they got thrown in and proved to not be first team ready. Also finances means that at present we cant afford good first team players AND players not yet ready. I'm guessing the 2 out on loan could still be brought back if they improve sufficiently with their loan clubs.

That's ok. At home. Winnable.
Bring on a bigger team in Rds 2 and 3. Never many glamour ties to be had at this stage.

But unfortunately not in a million years is it ever going to be used by a big percentage of the population. Its basically ticking boxes "oh look we are being green", the majority of the population just get on with whatever they are left with thinking "what a waste of time and money inconveniencing us in doing it". And I say this even as a regular cyclist myself. As in my earlier post although I ride a bike often I'd never think of using it to ride into the centre of Shrewsbury (or any other town).

I'm guessing election day must be looking pretty soon.
The title on this thread has it down as July 24th but the huge pile of leaflets dropped off by the postman today from all the local candidates is suggesting its July 4th. Guess they may know a thing or two.....
Anyway all leaflets have all been treated equally in this household, they have all been filed in the recycling bin.

Fair point but the 24 team tournament for me just makes it a bit more of a lottery depending on which group you are in. 32 teams sounds a lot but at least it is a power of 2 and I suppose they will have eight groups of four teams. Brace yourselves... it has been confirmed that the 2026 World Cup will have 48 teams, as will every World Cup thereafter! It will effectively be a double Euros, with 12 groups of 4 teams, and 32 teams progressing to the knockout rounds (the top 2 of each group and the 8 best third-placed teams). May as just as well abolish qualifiers. Get every country that enters to turn up and play hundreds of games till we get to a meaningful competition. Just think how much could be made out of the TV companies selling our soul totally. Just think even Wales might get there then.

As a regular sporting cyclist I always have to smile when a council or other suggest that you consider cycling when road schemes are not running quite as good as they normally do.
Tbh there are so many reasons why people dont/wont cycle (some very valid as well as some imaginery). The weather, the traffic, nowhere safe to leave your bike when you get to wherever you are going being just a few of them.

Of course it is.
I want all the players to be at the top level of their fitness that is possible. So why wouldnt you start with the ones you have to start with even though you know more will be coming in.

Suppose we'll have to see how good this oconkedout is๐ค๐ค๐ Wasnโt overly impressed in the cup game.9 And that was with our attack. Hopefully the better teams next season will find him (& their defence) out fairly regularly. Their defence didnt always look too convincing in some games in L2.

Staff are brilliant and doing their best under very difficult circumstances. I experienced a stroke recently and had to wait my turn on a bed in the corridor to see a doctor but I was continually monitored by overworked staff. Bed blocking is a problem that is not going to go away anytime soon no matter who wins the election. Editing is a wonderful tool when you want to show the worst of something. We sometimes forget how lucky we are in this country to have the NHS. They automatically say patients are blocking beds yet itโs the NHS who closed many cottage and convalescence facilities causing the bed blockingโ. My mother in laws in RSH now after an emergency op on Saturday. We called to visit, sheโs fit to go home but no oneโs done the paper work so staying another night.ย In all honesty the admin staff didnโt seem to care, we said if you get it done we can take her but an hour later they said it wonโt be done today! Thats just paperwork holding up the bed! Went in Sunday and thought how relaxed it was, today was chaos from parking, 12 ambulances outside and police on the main entrances, not sure why. Yes paperwork is a big part of the bed blocking problem. I've had 2 spells in there in 2022, should have been in and out in a few days each time but both times it's taken twice as long to get out. The last time was 2 days before Christmas day and i escaped about 7pm on the Friday after saying i was going home that day whatever situation they were with the paperwork. Needless to say staff had gone home around 5pm and not all the paperwork had been done and Discharge team were left to sort things out. Have to say though everyone i came into contact with during my stays were excellent, (even the nurse that kept coming round and sticking bloody needles in me at regular intervals....)

Canโt really argue with that to be fair (and I was one of the main beneficiaries of the ยฃ5 fan card). Would be good if they offered members a discount on merchandise or meals/hospitality even if it was only at certain times of year (Iโm thinking Christmas/Easter) but I guess they could still choose to do that if they wanted to. Doubt they would offer discount on meals etc at times like Christmas/Easter as that would be the busy times. You might get discounts when times are quieter possibly to attract more custom.

Yeh, think we are the same sort of wavelength. Only on here would it be disected and debated to somewhere completely different. On social media where it originated from most people had a laugh and have moved on to other fun things and more important matters without it being dragged into more serious comment. Being flippant and then being called out on it shouldn't be a shock. Too many people moan about the quality of politicians etc and then think comments like yours under the defence of "only a joke" is going to improve the situation. I haven't got any time what so ever for Dan, but comparing him to those two! ๐ฅฑ๐ฅฑ

Sex offenders and pedophiles Or elected politicians. Very very different things. Your choice of imagery is very strange. Could have chosen two terrible Salop CB... strange imagery , and wow lets bring the town into it instead the real issue is having got rid of Jimmy Saville only for Rolf Harris to get in power, it seems people now want to get rid of Rolf in hope Jim can fix it for us if will never change when the mentality is to tactical vote and elect previous basket cases how's about that then ? Yeh, think we are the same sort of wavelength. Only on here would it be disected and debated to somewhere completely different. I suspect it's not so much unfit in the sense of coming back overweight, etc., it's whether his body is able to sustain playing 90 minutes on a regular basis, considering the injuries he has had. But if he's been training with us for 6 months and making the odd appearance, I'm not sure what a few more weeks is going to prove It'll be about showing he can cope with back to back games. Hew was getting 15 or 20 minutes for us, then missing a week or two of training. I suspect Hurst will want to see if he can get through a couple of friendlies, playing a good hour or more in them, and still train. That is the minimum you need in him. Maybe be the same as Bennett was last season, however he has to improve in fitness hugely to be a sensible option for us from where he was in April. I still doubt he will be with us.

Is Ryan Woods a free agents now, by a good signing?? He signed a 3 year deal in August 22 at Hull. They donโt seem to want him hence sent out on loan last season but still under contract there. If a club dont want a player still under contract there is usually a deal to be done. Still depends if we can afford it though.

Considering how good heโs looked when heโs played, Price must look horrendously unfit in training for him to have not yet been offered a deal. I suspect it's not so much unfit in the sense of coming back overweight, etc., it's whether his body is able to sustain playing 90 minutes on a regular basis, considering the injuries he has had. But if he's been training with us for 6 months and making the odd appearance, I'm not sure what a few more weeks is going to prove Maybe this will start moving on one way or the other when the players get back at the end of the week. Hopefully anyway.

No bias in this posting then. No intention to sound or be independent - I think that the Tories remaining in power would be an awful outcome and would like people to vote tactically to get them

Choosing between Sunak and Starmer is like choosing between Rolf Harris and Jimmy Saville to babysit your kids. Wow. It really isn't anything like that. What strange imagery there. All metaphorical if course. Just showing that just as you wouldnt want to chose either Harris or Saville there is no good choise between Sunak or Starmer either. Both equally as bad in both cases.
