Sounds too injury prone these days. Last thing we need is injury prone players this coming season, look what last seasons crop did to the team. Twas my understanding he's (only) missed last season or so? As opposed to several games out here and there. Perhaps my blue and amber tinted specs are on too much, I just quite like the idea It's all hypothetical of course. *****edit***** Looking at games played, the first 2 seasons were around 30 games Then 3 the following sesson, and 14 the season just ended, so one would assume serious injury early on the previous season into the one just ended....resulting in him bsck around Christmas gone Think the injury prone player we already have is likely to be first in line for a midfield place. Still got a lot to do to convince me he will be worth the gamble though.

3 wishes. MK Dons to be relegated to the National League. 'Dons' to be removed from their name. Winkelman to leave. Any order! Just spotted your glaring error on point 1 - MK Don's to get relegated FROM the National League 👍

Who would be the right person to get in touch with, would it be Liam or the programme editor or someone else?

We had income streams from player sales and sell ons like Connor Goldson moving to Rangers in 2018… Remember Brian saying 20/21 was the first year we hadn’t got staggered transfere payments coming through. 🤥 hurst was at Ipswich when goldson joined rangers Its amazing how desperate some are to claim we failed in by far our best season in decades 😝 Goldson had also left Town in 2015 to join Brighton so wasnt with us when Hurst was. He left Brighton in 2018 to go to Rangers.

Does anyone actually watch this unadulterated garbage these days? Apparently yes. The UK lap it up more than any other European country. Well the UK TV viewing population have plenty of crap TV to rival it, so they are used to watching rubbish.

Yep ...free transfers, academy players, and a punt on one or two bargains....that's what Hurst will be doing....and getting them fit!!! Thinking back to the 3rd placed finish season under Hurst can anybody recall how that seasons playing budget compered with previous seasons? Looking back on it a side with Godfrey, Morris and Henderson, alongside Nsiala, Nolan, Whalley and Rodman you would think it was quite an expensively assembled team, but I don't recall that really being the case at the time, and the accounts that year showed it wasn't a case of "splashing the cash" that led to the high league finish. I'm hoping that we can do something similar this season and get a couple of loan players in from a higher level who we give game time and experience too and get the benefits of for a season, and go onto bigger and better things. I guess its a case of higher league teams wanting to be sure we have decent set-up and opportunities for their players, which Hurst might provide I would think it would be quite a modest outlay tbh. Godfrey, Morris Henderson were all young and unknown back then so wouldnt be on a fortune. Nsiala, Nolan, Rodman and Whalley were all just journeyman that Hurst improved so wouldnt have been on big wages either.

Me too. I don’t think it’s lovely for Crawley fans. We know how much we remember that night and it’s something they can never forget. I think its lovely for MK fans (once again).

During our glory days in the old 2nd division I was out of the country most of the 10 years but did take in the odd game when home. Genuine question did those years bring us near breaking point or were we managed financially well. We did have some high earners I am lead to believe. . I don’t recall any financial pressure during that period though we had some good cup runs with tv money and big crowds. That first season in what is now the Championship we averaged over 9,000. Think the financial pressure started to build with Ian MacNeil and the team he started to build. A few of them wouldnt have come cheaply even though they were past their best. Probably continued with John Bond. By the time Roland took over we were well and truly running at a huge loss and cost cutting measures had to be implemented with Jake King having nothing at all to spend and ultimately losing our FL place for a season. Thankfully there were several youngsters coming through which gained us some money and of course the 2003 cup run against Everton and Chelsea.

Stephen Humphrey’s been released by Wigan. Wouldn’t mind seeing him in blue and amber again. Another play well out of our reach …. Sensible suggestions please folks 😁 I doubt anyone will have heard of our strikers that we start the season with (unless Udoh has a change of heart). Will be up and coming youngsters with potential from a Premier or Championship club that we havnt heard of, bit like Carlton Morris. As long as it's not players we havnt heard of from LOI it will do for me.

If anyone mentions the words "play offs" in conjunction with Town i very quickly move my thoughts to that night in Mk. Every time, I'm sure Crawley fans will too in years to come.

Second trip to Wembley in a week for Solihull Moors today in the Trophy Final.
Same result as last week, draw after 120 mins but once again lost on penalties. Joss Labadie missed his spot kick in both games.
Never mind Solihull, wait till you've been there 5 times and the team not turned up on the pitch .....

Think I tend to agree, but is it sad or just finding a more sustainable level after struggling to compete for years in league one? Town have relatively overachieved to keep remaining in league one year on year given the size of the club compared to those around Posted on another thread but since we returned to League 1 our attendances put us comfortably mid table usually between 14-16th. This season just gone was our worst (19th). www.footballwebpages.co.uk/league-one/attendancesAnd yet on another thread only a few days ago that were comparing out average attendance from this season and last. This seasons average was less than 100 fewer than the previous season - despite the lack of goals, and standard of entertainment on offer. So if we have dropped down the table with virtually the same attendance figures can only mean that other clubs have managed to increase theirs.

Never thought it likely Udoh, Marosi or Dunkley would sign. Wages the main issue undoubtedly.
Thought Benning and Pierre would sign. 1 down 1 to go from the sounds.

It's a good job we didn't need a great escape performance against Orient because we would be relegated now. a lot of fans start scaremongering about relegation during the season, its a bit of a stretch to do so after the season has finished and we stayed up Not often I agree with you Pilch but I do here. In my mind we were never in any serious relegation fight, but that was more to do with how inept the opposition were rather than how we were.

'In a testing two years, Rovers axed two directors of football, leading Vince to allow Cotterill to head up recruitment next season'. That should go well then! Mind you, Vince is in a position to take the hit. Keep a close eye on the purse strings Dale

3 weeks since the AGM and coming up to two weeks since the season ended, still nothing from the club. We got our 'message from the chairman' 2 days after the season finished last season but nothing so far this season, I suppose it would be asking too much to expect it 2 seasons in a row. My only hope is the reason we are hearing nothing is because Roland feels its pointless writing an end of season review/plans for the future season message when he won't be here for much longer. That's what you've got to hope. Hopefully when it all goes through Roland will do a message in handing over. I for one will appreciate all he has done for the club over the years even if I'm sure it's the right thing for the club if he steps away now.

Mickey Moore being out of favour, but being one of the highest paid people at the club doesn't sound like good news at all to me. MM one of the highest paid people at the club. Dan Udoh rejecting our contract offer. Those two sentences just highlight why things are so wrong within our club. It could be so different but what do I know eh.

I thought the National Hockey stadium was a dump in 2007 but it gave me the best ever feeling as a Town fan in that play off semi final. Being on the front row just by the goals made it even better. Leaving them to contact the Railway company to cancel the five special trains they had booked to Wembley! Oh yes. So good to hear their announcement for arrangements for trains to Wembley at half time, then stick it up them a few minutes later at the start of the second half. Plus of course Hey Jude......

Nowhere in the name Milton Keynes do the the three letters DON appear so there is no need for them to have dons at all. They are cheapskate con artists who somehow fooled the Footballing authorities into allowing them to do what they did. And never forget that I witnessed their loathsome owner wind down his car window and call Gay Meadow a dump. Not a rumour, a fact, I was there. I thought the National Hockey stadium was a dump in 2007 but it gave me the best ever feeling as a Town fan in that play off semi final. Being on the front row just by the goals made it even better.

If it is indeed the case that Mr Wycherley does intend to relinquish ownership and control, doesn't this suggest that he himself agrees the need for change? I support that view: I have used the word "inertia" in this context on other similar threads Of course noone can be certain that the outcome of any decision will be favourable, but again, as I have said before, if fear of the unknown - and unknowable - is allowed to dominate the thought process of decision-making, nobody would ever make a decision about ANYTHING, hence the inertia and sterility which we have now. Well Scandiavian youngsters is a step up from LOI youngsters we has this season.
