No rumour
But I see (the other day prior to playoff game) that he's out of contract at Donny, 30 odd now, and not having seen the released list, would you take him if he is? We all know what he was about, older now so could do the job Whalley did.
Hurst no stranger to plucking players from the level below as he did with Toto, Rodman et Al

If he was still fit enough I would definitely have him back without hesitation.

He's made approx 70 appearances across 5 seasons for Doncaster so clearly has had a lot of injury problems.

Sounds too injury prone these days.
Last thing we need is injury prone players this coming season, look what last seasons crop did to the team.

Twas my understanding he's (only) missed last season or so? As opposed to several games out here and there. Perhaps my blue and amber tinted specs are on too much, I just quite like the idea It's all hypothetical of course. *****edit***** Looking at games played, the first 2 seasons were around 30 games Then 3 the following sesson, and 14 the season just ended, so one would assume serious injury early on the previous season into the one just ended....resulting in him bsck around Christmas gone

Still got a lot to do to convince me he will be worth the gamble though.

Didn’t he play in the Marvin Morgan game yesterday ? I wonder how he looked, and if anyone had a word with him about his fitness.

Hopefully Skitty was about at the very least as they obviously go way back to YTS days Taylor played for STFC Cc XI in the heat. Skitty came on for fresh ego as I think a Centre back

He won’t be returning. He’s had serious knee injury after serious knee injury for about 4 years.
I always hoped one day we would see JT return but following his poor injury record I can’t see it

His recent record makes Jack Price look fit! 1 start and a grant total of 84 minutes across 2023 and 2024 in league two. If he has a future I would imagine it's in non league now

His main attribute was his lightening pace. I doubt he has anywhere near the levels he had previously now he is 30 and with all his injuries.

Let’s hope then that we can unearth the latest version somewhere.

Does he still have his pace? I'm guessing perhaps not, a lot of fun watching him in a Town shirt but I think he's struggling now with injuries etc.

I remember playing golf at Meole once and skitty, Jon & another were behind me, I remember looking behind me once only to see Jons feet it the air, he had tripped up and gone head over heels down a bank ( I dont have any photographic evidence though so you'll just have to take my word )

JT has a podcast these days called Talking Transitions, I just listened to the episode with his long time friend Connor Goldson which was an interesting listen.
