That was very quick. Paul Hurst must want to be quickly rid of so many of them to let it out on the same day we finish the season.
And it obviously showed in the performance of many today that they were going.
Wasnt keen on Hurst coming back, but he is spot on sorting this out so quickly. Look forward to seeing who is coming in, hopefully start signing them nice and quickly.

I've never known a more lazy weak minded group of players. It is clear to see the difference between Price, Bloxham, Bennett and some of the other players. Serious question - do they look worse than the relegation to the Conference team? At least the Conference relegation team could score goals.

Full clearout needed. Even the "better" players not up to it.
Big building job needed from PH in the summer. Think he is going to be busy.

I'll miss this one today.😕 Why are we kicking off early again? As I see the other divisions kicking off normal time. All games kicking off the same time in all the divisions. L1 12.30, L2 3.00 Bit of a PITA the early kick off, cant see why we cant all kick off at 3.

You predicted passing them last time they beat you to the title.
Failed once, likely fail again.

I hope it's a decent game and we make a proper effort. We're usually a terrible watch when there's nothing at stake so I really hope we don't just throw this away. I hope we get to see Omar Beckles again, just a pity Aaron Pierre won't be playing for us. I haven't noticed Orient at all this season, it's like they've been playing in a different division. I can't even remember when we played there and what the result was, although I'm sure we must have lost. That's not intended at all as a criticism of Orient. A newly promoted "smaller club" having, from the outside at least, an uneventful season and being under the radar in mid-table throughout (I think) is a good achievement. Much better than ours, for sure! Orient were pushing towards a play off place not many weeks ago. Didnt quite make it but they have had a decent season having come up from the lower division last season.

Think bayliss has been carrying an injury for 2+ yrs!!......poor, I'll be shocked if Hurst wants to keep him One thing that players will need to be come next season is fit to keep on playing and pressing for 120 mins if needs. Doubt Bayliss could do that, though he isnt alone in the current squad

Is that twice in three seasons Stockport have won a title, and little old Wrexham could only finish as runners up to them?

That 3rd place finish is insane when you sit and think about it. Especially with the slump in the last half a dozen games. Had we had a stronger squad like Blackburn and Wigan who knows what we might have done.

Workington for me as well. I would have also said Bradford PA if they still played at their original ground which I guess has probably been demolished by now? I beleive parts of it are still there but the cricket club has encroached onto some parts of it. The stands etc have long gone. I visited it about 40 years ago and trees were starting to grow through the terracing but there was the pitch still there although very rutted and bumpy. The old turnstile gates were still there too. Seen pictures in recent years and it's just even more overgrown. Well worth a visit though.

Burgoyne - offer cheap deal but I'd guess by now he would want to play more regular even at a lower level. Dont expect him to stay. Marosi - wages will no doubt be the issue here. Offer the best we can, hopefully we can come to agreement for him to sign then sell on for better wages. Another I dont see being here being season. benning - doubt he is on a fortune. Offer a slight increase and hope he will stay. Bennett - hopefully could offer a deal as player/coach. Think he would stay here but probably only a back up player next season rather than a regular. Flanagan - surely wont be here next season. Alleged wages and certain things said off the field will mean he is off. O'Brien - nuff said. Bye bye, dont call us. Bowman - Another who wont be offered anything. Udoh - be nice if we could get him a decent partner to play alongside to bring the best out of him. But I guess we wont be able to offer what he will be offered elsewhere so will be off. Bayliss - another high earner who doesnt do enough. Thanks and bye. Sraha - If PH thinks he can use him then I doubt it would break the bank to keep him. Sobowale - another who PH might be able to turn into a better player. Wont cost a fortune if so. Dunkley - again probably a wages issue. Offer best we can but i doubt it's going to be enough to keep him.
All of that said whoever of that lot go they are all replaceable so let PH do what he needs to do, hopefully we will see a better team overall to what we have seen this season.
Of course there could be other surprises with one or two higher earners under contract not with us next year too. There can be negotiations that might move one or two on just to get them off the wage bill. I wouldnt be surprised to see that too.

Marosi will go,get a fee for him,and use money wisely I'm afraid Marosi is out of contract. So he is worth £0 Think he was meaning the wages saved Could probably get 2 decent young players for Marosis wage.

It's a HUGE gap from playing under 18s to first team. Having no reserve team is a big barrier imo. I thought we did well playing a load of youngsters plus a few fringe players in the Pizza cup last game at the stadium, and was hoping that we might arrange some more friendlies against other local teams along the same vein. Maybe trying to play 1 game per month like that from July onwards would help to bring them on and see if any are worth a few games in the league. There was the Kidderminster behind closed doors friendly. Yes. But that was only 1 game, was thinking more like 1 each month or so. And in a setting a bit like the Pizza cup with spectators allowed in and possibly a reporter doing a small article about the game too. Makes it much more like a stepping stone rather than a behind closed doors friendly (well I think so at least)

Ain’t they changing the league also so that every game is on a Friday night Yes it gets mentioned lower down the article. That in itself will keep attendances down rather than increase them. Bit of an OG by the Welsh FA.

We're still waiting on that hiding we were promised. So...👍 Weve been lucky. No hidings thankfully, just a few games where weve taken a battering but not quite a hiding. That's what you were talking of I guess 🤔

massive game for the arsenal tonight, looking forward to it, when was the last time there premier was actually a 3 horse race this far into the season ? I've bet on 45 or more throw ins, I've not idea what the average is in a game of football, expecting there to be about 22 at a guess lol come on arsenal, make up for that awful villa defeat Yes there is just a passing interest in the PL race this season. Just down to who can win all their games now, lose and you can probably forget it. Like it to be Arsenal but think it's still Citys to lose.

Luke Leahy has equalised for Wycombe. If Cheltenham win and Cambridge lose on Sat, then Cambridge will go down on goal difference. Surely it depends on what Burton do at Fleetwood too. 😉

I would like to think that we can put on a show in front of 7,000 on Saturday and finish the season with a win. Injuries permitting I think it will be the same eleven who started last Saturday. That's what Hurst will be planning. Maybe one or two who may still be here next season getting some minutes so he can have another look.

Burton's last game is Fleetwood A Cambridge's last game is Port Vale A. Are either of those already relegated Clubs going to put in the effort? Meanwhile, Cheltenham are at Stevenage. Stevenage nothing to play for either

Yes, one and the same! So 2 ex town players involved in the crucial last penalty. He has moved upwards then, but he always looked too good to stay at our level.
