Give Cheltenham another 3 points they’re only 5 points behind with a game in hand Cheltenham would nee 5 points from the last three games. Let Cheltenham win and Burton would only need one win from either Reading home or Fleetwood away to catch and overtake us. Just feels more likely Cheltenham will get relegated over Burton.

I agree its a tough one to know what is best,
but 5 points behind with a game in hand ?
if Burton win they go above us, they then have reading at home, and Fleetwood away ( likely relegate by then too )
Cheltenham win means they are 5 points behind us with Lincoln & P'boro at home and a trip to stevenage

Burton catching town isn't necessarily a problem though. A Burton win more or less relegates Fleetwood and Cheltenham who then would need 3 wins from 3 to have a chance to stay up. My main worry is if Vale win

Cheltenham have got such tough remaining fixtures after Tuesday night that I’m hoping for a Cheltenham win. Fingers crossed they won’t pick up many more after that.
Imagine if we’d lost that six-pointer at Vale a few weeks ago. I think we’d be as good as down at this point.

I wouldn't completely right off Fleetwood yet. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if they won at Peterborough on Tuesday night. They looked decent against Northampton yesterday, so they haven't given up. With nothing to lose they could win at Orient, then last game Burton at home !

its is tough to predict, there currently is no correct choice,
I dont think it will make a difference debating it as I can only see a Burton win, then again I only saw a cheltenham win last week v Carlisle

Those in the bottom 4 have less points than games played. The chance of them getting 6 point from the last 3 games is very unlikely. Even more likely that happens and we can not grind out a draw in one of remaining games. Of course all possible but I am not the slightest bit concerned.

We shouldn’t really be having this discussion. Normally I’m relatively upbeat 24 hours after a town loss but the manner of yesterday given that we could’ve sealed our safety, has really taken the wind out of my sails!

You think Burton will get relegated then? I think Cheltenham are almost a certainty, and then it’s between Burton and Vale for the final spot. Us as outsiders. FWIW I think you’ll be fine, maybe need one more point to make sure, I still can’t believe yesterday’s results. After 2 points from 10 games including losses at home to Carlisle, Vale and losing away to 10 men Exeter for half a match, I was resigned to relegation. Just shows what I don’t know, yesterday was on paper the hardest of our last four games and Exeter did the business yesterday too as I honestly thought Vale were going to stay up (and still might do) (br] Not taking anything for granted vs Cheltenham, they’ve done well to get in the mix after a dreadful start to the season but seem to have run out of steam in recent matches, just hope we can break our seven match losing run at home. Good luck for the rest of the season and hope to play you in L1 next season

If Vale drop points against Wycombe and Cheltenham lose at Burton, we should be reasonably safe.
Vale's next game is Bolton A where they shouldn't be expected to get anything, whilst if Cheltenham lose to Burton, they would have to win all 3 of their remaining games to go above us, assuming we never get another point (quite likely).
Burton have a far easier run in, so it's preferable for them to beat Cheltenham - a draw would leave Cheltenham needing 2 wins and a draw.

The Cheltenham v Burton result is not critical to us taken in isolation. There's positives for us win, lose or draw. A draw would keep Burton two points behind us and two clubs between us and the trap door. Wycombe winning at Vale would be a big favour,if you're listening Mr Leahy. What would help though is for our team to do something to help ourselves.

What would help though is for our team to do something to help ourselves. I've been fairly confident on the run in that we would stay up with relative ease. That was because I was expecting us to pick up a few points along the way. Didnt realise that our players would be on the beach so early. I'm still fairly confident we will be safe, but you so called players are giving me a few concerns with each passing game. The end of the season cant come too soon.

Think I'd prefer a draw Burton vs Cheltenham and that way keep Burton as the buffer between the relegation zone.

big games in league 2 as well, surprised no one mentioned them ;-)
Stockport could clinch the title with a win, and Colchester will probably play tippy tappy with grimsby for a 0-0 draw ;-)

I think it would be best if the bottom four remain as they are so I think a Burton win or the draw for me, I think that would be best outcome. Can't see Fleetwood getting anything at Posh so the concern is Vale. If Cheltenham and Vale win and we lose tonight then its officially panic stations!!

Come on you Brewers, Posh, Gas and the Chairboys. Think the only way we stay up is by the failures of others at this point, so I can only see Carlisle, Fleetwood, Cheltenham and Vale finishing below us.

All we need is for Wycombe to get a draw tonight....can't see vale getting anything at Bolton, even a draw wouldn't be good enough then... So I'm saying 2 draws for them👍👍

If the unthinkable happens and Vale and Cheltenham win then it's a perfect time to panic. Home wins for both Vale and Burton tonight would in all likelihood mean a two way fight between us and Vale for that final relo spot, assuming we get beaten at Bolton. I think 46 points will go down.
