From that Brighton forum link, their fans are certainly viewing the interest as positive unlike Bradford a couple of weeks back. It must be good money if it goes through so I hope Matt Williams sends a copy of the invoice to that clown at Swindon...I think it would be a great move for Goldson and if MM is allowed to use some of the funds, it may be a good thing for us too.

For me he's worth around £1.3-£1.5m , for his age he has a lot of appearances! Very tall , rarely makes mistakes , and without him last night we were lost . If we sell I think it could be a real blow to our season. Matt Williams said that we don't need or want to sell our best players . So selling for below £1m would be daft I think .

Surprised that anyone thought we'd keep either Connor or Ryan. The club is hemorrhaging cash and it was vital we turned the tide sooner rather than later.
I've noticed some folks comment that they hope we invest the GC wisely. Given our quite impressive losses over the last few season I would suggest that we've spent that money already....

Think the only rather annoying thing is that Connor leaving has come so late in the transfer window. There was perhaps a feeling when the season started he'd be with us all season, and finding a replacement at this stage means the new centre back will have missed out on pre season and will take time to bed in. However that's just the way of things and I'm not attaching any blame to club or player for that Totally agree that most of the transfer fee will go to balancing up recent losses and giving us a bit of flexibility in the loan market - certainly not expecting a 6 figure replacement

Not surprising but with NKP to come back I'm not overly concerned. Good luck to the lad, he stayed loyal to us when he could easily have moved on and earned a lot of money. I hope he has a very succesful career
And as others have said I suspect the money will be used to cover losses, top up the 'fighting fund' and if we are lucky, be used for the odd loan during the season

It might mean the opportunity to offer the likes of Woods and Leutwiler longer contracts.

I'm not so sure. Having re signed Grandison, surely we now have the same centre halves as last season. So when Goldson leaves, he may add one more.

Well done Connor.
Definitely heading for big things.
18 months ago he was out on loan with Mkandawire and Winfield ahead of him. The mind boggles....
