But they have stability with Phil Parkinson, who is a good manager, and i would put them as contenders for automatic promotion....

Is it traditional to try to sign an opposition centre back every week in L1?

WHen you look at his performances his value is increasing week by week - if we sell to a team in the same league as us for less than 500k (max they can pay apparently) then you have to doubt our business acumen and our ambition. Conclusion - 100% bullplop (I hope)

Based on what other English players and the likes of grimes have gone for, min 750k plus add ons and that would be great. But Bradford, really?! No disrespect to anyone from there but hardly career progression, he won't do anything there that he can't do here, he should go up to min championship level unless of course they are throwing money at him and the club... He can do better and should do better very side ways if he even considers it

I believe it was always the plan to sell one or both of them this summer and I also believe we would sell to anyone as long as they meet our valuations, regardless of what league they're in.

If we said no to 800k from Leeds then I'd expect him to go for more

Judging by his tweet last night he doesn't seem to be too keen on a move... But I guess there's a few days left yet. If he goes, then as long as it is after Saturday that would soften the blow a bit!

I'd imagine IF he went there then Mellon would stick a clause in so he can't play against us Saturday,

To be fair that Richard Scott thing was almost 20 years ago was it not, the rules have changed since then

Didn't GP put an agreement in that when we sold Drummond to Morecambe, he couldn't play against us while GP was manager? Don't think he lasted too much longer after that anyway...

I have a feeling that the mystery player for Bradford will be Mark Beevers from Millwall.

Surely can't be Bradford if the talk is of a £150-250k fee. Besides which he'd surely prefer a move to Leeds ahead of Bradford if both were interested.

According to the local rag up here in Bradford:
'They have agreed a six-figure fee with his club, thought to be between £150,000-£250,000, and opened talks with the player yesterday. But it is unlikely that a deal will be struck within the next couple of days.'
The rumour is the player is Goldson, but we have no hard proof. I'm guessing if it IS Goldson there is a hefty sell on clause though, especially after reading your valuation of him.
Be interesting either way if he starts against us on Saturday

If we sold him for £150k-£250k to anyone, let alone Bradford, I would be absolutely furious.

But with Grandison now signed up, Ellis in reserve, NKP only a couple of weeks from returning to the side and Dom Smith fit again we are in a position to look at offers.
But £150-£250k is a bad joke bearing in mind our supposed £800k valuation. Swindon weren't that far away from bidding that and their bid was dismissed as derisory by MW.
