If we sold him for £150k-£250k to anyone, let alone Bradford, I would be absolutely furious. Players are like Houses, they are only "worth" what someone wishes to pay for them/ it. Not some fantasy figure that exists in the ether and maybe not even there.

But with Grandison now signed up, Ellis in reserve, NKP only a couple of weeks from returning to the side and Dom Smith fit again we are in a position to look at offers. But £150-£250k is a bad joke bearing in mind our supposed £800k valuation. Swindon weren't that far away from bidding that and their bid was dismissed as derisory by MW. Players are like Houses, they are only "worth" what someone wishes to pay for them/ it. Not some fantasy figure that exists in the ether and maybe not even there.

Guess it should be noted we (Bradford) have no solid proof that the mystery player is Goldson. The Goldson rumour has been going for a couple of months, but we could be totally wrong - Mark Beevers (Millwall) and Adam El-Abd (Brizzle) have also been rumoured. We just all hope it is Goldson!

Well, if that figure is the correct one, then although somebody may wish to pay it, we equally can tell them to go away, as MW did with Swindon in no uncertain terms.

Except Kemar Roofe who is like a bit of a house. I'm not sure Goldson will cement a place in their team anyway and the sooner the transfer window is closed the better. We should turn down any bids flat or they'll be anger on the terraces. That said, if the right offer comes in we should stay detached.

We rejected an offer from Swindon consisting of £175k plus a player, that bid was described and derisory, so why on earth would we accept a similar amount from Bradford?
There is no chance Connor will be going to Bradford particularly for that amount of cash, no chance.

Perhaps Roland's desperate to get his money back... Seems it's all guess work on the Bradford Forum but £150K to £250K is way of mosts expectations, expecially if Ginnelly fee was 6 figures Whatever any fee is (When we sell) it will be undisclosed and we'll debate for years what it was. It's The Shrewsbury Way..... Certain posters will guess and state it as a fact, then it will become generally accepted but no one will know..... If it is a load of tosh hope he has the game of his life on Saturday , can't wait .....

150-250k for Goldson...really? I think people are giving this story way too much attention than it's worth! For that price, keep dreaming !

But, even houses have valuations, and I am pretty certain that even a realistic valuation for Connor would be a lot more than that. Don't get me wrong, I do not expect to be getting millions for him (it'd be nice!) but that is just stupid money. We would be better off not selling and letting it go to a tribunal next year if he moved on!

Liam Cooper last year (Young Centre back,22 years old at the time, just named in League Two team of the year) has a lot of similarities to Goldson.
He went to Leeds from Chesterfield for 500-750k last year.
I'd say Goldson will go for a similar amount, certainly not less than 500k anyway.
We have to remember that defenders aren't valued as highly as other positions though.

I would value goldson at around £1m easily . And whoever buys him will be getting great value and a great defender .

There's probably some truth that players are like houses. Connor is built like a brick outhouse.
Any road up, he's a proven League Juan defender. Nothing less than £1 million, with a sell on. He's at least Championship class now at 22.

Think it unlikely that he would move to Bradford, but can see some merit in it from his perspective
Bradford are likely to be challenging for promotion and could well be in the Championship next year, and certainly have potential to progress. I suspect he would be more in the shop window for a future move too with a few big sides on their doorstep

There are big sides close to our doorstep who are already in the Championship who are supposedly interested, if rumours are to be believed.

If the fee in question about is the £150-200K amount spoken about then BCFC are after a different player.
Whoever it is lets hope they don't sign before Saturday.

QPR the latest to be linked... Are we playing them in the third round of the Capital One Cup. They need to get in line behind Chesterfield, Crystal Palace and Oldham.

QPR seem interested then.
Far more concerned about Ryan Woods then Connor personally. Connor is a good defender and has many years ahead of him at a decent level, but I love watching Woods play, the way he takes the ball with players around him and makes it look so easy, I really hope we can keep hold of him for as long as possible.

Or if you like watching midfielders that never score ! Decent player don't get me wrong ! Far from the finished article and for me goldson is by far the more valuable asset at the moment !

I think I'll rely on the market to tell me that rather than your rather scathing opinion. As for finished articles, I certainly haven't come across one in all my years supporting Town yet !
