you mean ostracise and bully them ? Suggesting we'll end the season with the same points we have now or 1 more points when we have 15 games left deserves a hefty amount of abuse and ridicule to be fair. all well and good but so far they have been called names , and had someone make suggestions on how to treat them

The only thing that recent results and our position in the table have shown us is that we've had everything not only to be in the play-offs, but also get automatic promotion. All the talks about budget, small size of the club are just excuses experienced managers make up to defend from criticism. We've been two points off the 6th placed Barnsley and that playing inconsistent football, struggling to score against the poorest teams in league. Imagine we have a bigger squad, less injuries, flexible and ambitious manager, sell a few players every season and invest properly. Our false position is down to the fact that this season we are better against bottom 7,8 and that's where the majority of the wins come from. From now on we are going to play teams around us and no doubt we'll drop more points than we get. I think there are two scenarios how the season will end, first we finish on 48,49 points which is a place or two above relegation zone and second we have 48 points before the last game of season and win it to stay up. He's the team's motivational coach?

Maybe someone asked Chat GPT to predict the remainder of Town’s season. 🤪
Let’s face it, it’s a task beyond normal intelligence, let alone artificial. Time to smile, ignore and move on.

8 points in the last seven games, 1,14 per game which corresponds to 18th placed Burton. Usual SC performance. Hopefully i'm wrong but before that run of wins against poorest sides we lost three in a row and now again we started losing points. We heard to many times about small squad but who is responsible for that? After signing Shipley we could not sign anybody for a month and a half. We all know SC's transfer approach, good players or nobody which could mean small squad or no squad. It was a gamble he took and it didnt pay off in terms of injuries. Lets see what our finish will be, but i'm sure we could have done better

According to SC, he has nothing to do with small squad and injuries. First of all nobody imposed that transfer approach on him. He knew we were going to play 55-60 games this season and he insisted on having a small squad which is highly irresponsible from an experienced manager. He says club couldn't afford to replace two players. Well, depends what wages those players were on. Most likely they demanded more than 7k per week. No wonder the board didn't let him as they probably still remember Sam Cosgrove' signing and that of Taylor Moore hasn't impressed them either. He could easily bring L1 or even really good L2 players like many previous managers did and the chairman would have backed him but we all know his approach: good players or nobody. As to why we have so many injuries i think it depends what kind of environment we have in the dressing room. We know that stress and anxiety weaken the immune system, he must have the whole squad under considerable amount of stress so this might be the reason. Don't work hard, work better, let them enjoy playing football and they will stay fit, happy players are healthy players. Many say we have been doing well, having a good season. Just to remind, first we were aiming for play-offs, then for top ten, now probably for top half. Meanwhile we are 23rd in the form table over the last 6 games thefishy.co.uk/formtable.php?table=3

Meanwhile we are 23rd in the form table Whats a point in bringing an experienced manager, good players from PL and Championship and not get results. Inexperienced SR managed second best finish and a couple of good FA Cup runs. People thought an experienced manager would help to achieve promotion but majority of them are just spoiled by big budgets and good players and not ready to develop young and up and coming players. We've had injuries throughout the season, not just in recent weeks so it couldn't be an excuse for poor results and narrow defeats are the proof we could win some games and i think the reason we didn't is a lack of ambition and negative setup . Lets be honest managers are never happy with budgets and its not about budget its about what you can do with it. I dont think PH was backed more than SC. He just doesnt want to develop youngsters and players from lower leagues and thats the way we've always been doing before SC came, his transfer approach "good players or nobody" is some kind of extortion and it happens every transfer window. He's had enough time and we lost two and a half years with him, its about time we did something before pre-season.

I too would like to see more of the academy breaking through to become first team regulars, but, that's not the way as things stand.

Incorrect 😂 Yes, incorrect, i just make general predictions and accuracy is not so important, general direction in which results go is more important. I predicted a draw and 14 losses, too ambitious . We won 3, drew 2 and lost 10 If people knew what's potentially could be achieved they would have been more ambitious and wouldn't accept such pathetic finish to the season. PH season should have taught us that we could achieve promotion with the budget we have. As i posted before we lack critical thinking, questioning, there always been successful clubs with small budgets and struggling big ones. The reason for restructuring could be that more than two years as a manager SC couldn't convince the Chairman. We lost four in s row over Christmas period and were 17th in the table, but finished even worse 23 rd in form table in the last third of the season. All the adversity we have had is the result of the poor preparation done by SC in pre-season and he might thought that it would be better to turn people against the board than accept mistakes. All his tenure we have had all kind of adversities, injuries, underwhelming transfer windows, because i think old school outdated football doesn't work for us anymore

Bexplorer has been correctly criticised and mocked over a number of years and a variety of different managers, holding some bizarre opinions on each and exclusively only appearing when things are going badly. His suggestion that we sack Paul Hurst in early 2018 a particular highlight.
On the topic of attacking Bexplorer, the first to buzz in with the answer to who the poster was behind this post in this thread, and which manager they were defending wins a prize:
"this wins the award as the most bitter sad negative twisted post of all time
I see what you did too, you counted 2 January windows where sides are already maxed on budget and you've counted this current one too, you used a great rewarding cup run as a reason he kept his job, oh and a worldwide pandemic somehow saved him from getting the sack ? probably as it shut you up moaning for months
we finished in one of our highest league positions since our good old days in division 2
do us all a favour and go and support someone else
no club needs a 'fan' like you"

I'm all for slagging off Bexplorer's posts fwiw. Just pointing out the mild hypocrisy of applauding them "not getting attacked like they once did" cos they don't like Cotterill when you called them "bitter, sad, twisted and negative" and told them to "support another club" cos they didn't like Ricketts.

i have no season ticket because i likely have to work until 4pm thanks , the only 2 games i've missed either live or internet live since 2019 were bolton and lincoln that were taken off me so we could watch canada and so bolton fans could watch england in the pub ,buy hey thanks for your opinion on next season, you continue to name and slag off b&a members behind their backs , you are an expert at that
wow so many home truths today , i've never enjoyed myself so much , anyone else want my views on them that i've been holding back

We have paid 5 underwhelming years for not learning the lesson of the PH's season which is how we riched play off final and as a result we keep wasting time. Recently we have discovered that Steve the adversity Cotterill has incredible talent of turning poor performances into massive support. The worse we play the bigger support. And in such unfavorable time the chairman has the courage to undertake management restructure. To understand is it a move in the right direction we need to analyse MM' time at his previous club. He was lucky enough to have worked alongside, i think, a talented manager Michael Duff who is doing well at another club. In my opinion there is no good DoF without a successful manager, so if he is going to work alongside SC then i cant guarantee success. It would only be a small step in the right direction but at least we can be sure we will not overspend. In one of latest episodes of the Verdict i heard Steve Cross say we should give SC another 3 year contract. As long as we have such experts in and around the club we'll have the same chances of progress as our academy youngsters. You wonder where has he learnt how to bankrupt well run clubs. The worst thing you can expect now is quiet quitting and a typical SC' transfer window when we can't find good players until the last day.

The problem i think is our inability to identify the reason why we have been struggling for the last three seasons. In my opinion we should revise some old school managerial ideas and concepts to finally start moving forward A couple of reasons why we have been struggling last three, four seasons. First the board couldnt pick the right manager and then managers showed us that their managerial skills are outdated and experience is clearly overvalued especially SC who first four weeks apart is quickly becoming a big headache for club attracting all sorts of problems. A solution could be a change in management structure, in my opinion a coach shouldnt manage because it requires special knowledge which they dont have as we all have seen over the last three, four seasons. All our difficulties have showed old school football doesnt work for us anymore and we should be brave and move forward Managing a football club is probably one of the most complicated jobs in the world and we are trying to solve a problem using a simplistic approach. New manager or a head coach, we are doing the same thing over and over again. We have had three different managers in the last five seasons, almost all of them failed, is it coincidence? I don't think so, they just haven't been allowed to succeed because they all the same, there were no difference between them how they saw football
