I think we haven't been tested so far despite having won all three matches. Northampton and Wimbledon are strugling and Rochdale usually don't start well. Their last season 7 games resulted in 3 draws and 4 losses. Oxford and Wigan matches will be a reality check that may not be encouraging, i'm afraid

With J Sheridan@Oldham sacked it looks like i was wrong predicting bottom half for P Hurst@Shrewsbury. It won't be an easy task and i will start believing in promotion when we are top 3 by December. Next two months will be very important, as mid season and finish are more complicated parts of the season. i'm a bit sceptic

Yes, unbeaten run goes on, but first defeat's around the corner as PH said.
And then the second will come, and the third.
The fairytale is over

I had my doubts about him when he posted a thread titled Relegation Race. Whose ever heard of team racing to relegation.

The real season starts in October Before October W 9 D 2 L 0 2,63 pts p/g Since October W 2 D 2 L 1 1,6 pts p/g There has been clear signs that the luck of the start of the season has gone but expectations have risen as it's normal for the top of the league. In such situations the team should have more difficulties to win matches, more injuries, more bookings and then as a result rows, divided dressing room. Overall a turnaround as impressive as the start of the season

My prediction for the next 10 games.
0.5 - 0.8 points per game

Without proper analysis why we got only 4 points in the last 5 games we wont be able to stop the freefall down the
table.
No analysis no improvement.
The slump will go on

[quote author=" bexplorer " it looks like i was wrong predicting bottom half for P Hurst@Shrewsbury. It won't be an easy task and i will start believing in promotion when we are top 3 by December. Nobody's perfect. I see two reasons for that. As i posted before i divide the season in two parts, before October and after. Before October we played 11 games in 8 weeks, and after only 10 games in 12. Had we played more matches we 'd have lost more points. Second reason is that i try to predict the trend, not the exact outcome As for promotion we will need to do the homework, some changes to stop the form slump. At the moment we're not ready for this

As we all want to contribute to this board the way we can i'd like to share my opinion on the season so far.
Despite the record start i ptedicted we would lose our winning form and i think we need to analyze what caused that
performance. Town was struggling side for years and this season i think we've been chosen by "the football God" to
make a big step forward, to believe in ourselves that we can be successful despite our size and budget.
He did that by creating a perfect plan when we had to play against all bottom half clubs and then as a
result we grew a bit in confidence. But he gave us as much as was nessesary to win matches , no more no less.
Many give credit to PH, but i think its "the football God" who has dragged us into the top of the league position.
He gave us cushion of points we needed and since October we had to do the rest on our own. The difference in
performance is quite evident which means he was not going to support PH.
My prediction is that we will keep losing points and will be at risk of missing the play-offs which may cause
managerial change by mid March

Now that is just off the wall and shows you up as the oddball individual you appear to be. Whatever happens this season will be as a result of normal issues. Weird or what!!!
