I like this line up! Hopefully, Hoole will have help but not having Winstanley in front of the back is a worry.

I like this line up! Hopefully, Hoole will have help and Winchester and Perry can protect the back four. I wouldn't rely too much on Winchester , if you check the squad it might explain why we've brought in Gilliead |

That was a half reverting back to Ricketts/Cotterill/Taylor ball. Very deep defence and midfield, and an isolated striker. Little possession or passing from us
Result - Orient have only created 1 thing, and that was yet more lacklustre bad defending from Benning, and they hit the bar
Our goal was class from Lloyd and the two loaners. Very good. Apart from that, we’ve been poor

This strikes me as a typical PH game! I remember in our playoff season we weren’t the most entertaining team, but we were great at grinding out results. At the moment I’d take a hard, ground out 1-0, and we can think about being entertaining when the team is more settle.

I share the notion that this performance - so far - is indeed reminiscent of PH's team in That Season; hard work especially to win the ball back, and the odd flash of skill; let's hope they have that other attribute - the ability to hang on!
