I hope this result silences the over-the-top 'Moaning Minnies' for a while.

It was probably a tactic masterstroke from Hurst to go with a change in formation and bring in the player that he did.
Perry and Gilliead in front of the defensive, the bold moves to make Feeney Captain and drop Marquis for Lloyd.
It might be because of the upcoming Wrexham game, but I wish more was discussed about it.

I wasn’t going to post but Pilch’s comments goaded me into it to be positive.
The postives: Plenty of them…. O’Reilly, Lloyd, Castedine. Hoole - all had 8 out ten games for me.. were excellent.
Mention for Bloxham going forward and the strikes.
Negatives: Bloxham positioning out of possession. Caught ball watching when the full back was in acres of space. A better team would have exposed that. Benning - biggest fan back end of last season but this season he’s been torn a new one by every right sided midfielder or winger he’s faced. A better side would have again exposed that. I think we’ve had enough kid gloves on Nurse, he has to start over Benning for me.

I hope this result silences the over-the-top 'Moaning Minnies' for a while. I'm amazed (well actually no I'm not) about the positivity on here after yesterday compared to 24 hours before on transfer deadline day 😂 Mind you if you read through a thread several hours after a game where we have gone behind then come back to win I should be used to it by now.

There were long periods in the 1st half where Orient were clearly targeting our right side of defence. Hoole coped ok but was helped out by O Reilly and Gillead a lot. It’ll be interesting to see what happens on the right and left sides of our defence when we (if ever) have Winchester and Nurse back to full fitness. Like you, I was a Benning convert last season but would be happy to how Nurse fairs.

I hope this result silences the over-the-top 'Moaning Minnies' for a while. The Moaning Minnies need to look at the stats. - Stevenage - they were joint top on points for the whole league after we played them. Rotten luck having to play one of the best sides of the division at that point. - Peterborough - top of the whole League One away standings after our match. In isolation that’d be unfortunate to have to play them for our first home match, but given the context with Stevenage the week before is appalling luck. - Huddersfield - good performance against a team that’d likely get play-offs in the Championship let alone League One - Orient - completely blow them away like men versus boys. So in summary, if it wasn’t for bad luck we’d have no luck at all. The only team we had the remotest chance of living with we deposited them onto their collective quims.

Gilliead and O'Reilly possibly under instruction to protect Hoole a little more, will be interesting when Winchester is back as to where he slots into things now, Perry has taken his chance and done well, Gillead to put that performance in with less than 24 hours of being in the side is impressive.

Perry has been impressive when given the chances fair play. Surely he must start against Wrex?

Can I also just add that this is the first decent ref we’ve had for a long time. No coincidence?!

Agree about the ref...best we have had down the meddah for quite some time.....and he tried to let the game run....with no "look at me" attitude.

Obviously, a positive and, and, judging from this thread, well-earned and thoroughly deserved - I gladly join in with the plaudits; however, as one of those who has been critical of the Club's direction of travel and recent decision-making, I do think that we have to acknowledge that the underlying issues, which have been covered ad nauseam, haven't simply disappeared.
Let's keep the positivity for as long as we can....

I think its touch and go with Winchester, Ojo should be though and I'd hope Kayode would be too.
I like it that Hurst doesn't reveal to much on the injury front, keeps the opposition guessing.
