Opinion based upon......er just three league matches. Time's definitely running out.......only 43 matches left to play. Its nothing to do with games left to play,its the make up of the squad. With the exception of the loanees they are other L1 clubs cast offs and good L2 players .Hurst will need to work a miracle to get a tune out of them.His demeanor suggests that he's not under any pressure from above to produce a miracle. Just looking at some of the signings and loans in L1 in the last couple of days suggests that we cannot compete this season,is it too early to start planning for next season? Defeatist or realistic?..you tell me Just plain old ridiculous. I wonder if Leyton Orient...also played 3, lost 3, have more grown-up fans. |

I don’t see the worry about signing 2 more CMs.
It was clear Rossiters injury history is a concern/gamble.
Perry (although has done ok last 2 games) is definitely not a CDM.
Winchester has gone off twice recently with a niggle, is it worse than expected?
The guy from Vale is a seasoned pro who’s a CDM, on our awful budget it’s better than nothing.
Gilliead can also play RWB, does this allow Hoole to move into RCB and to add pace and change system?
Loaning Biggins out really does show the shambles going on at the towns ground this season though.

Played 3 lost 3 league games, two of which were against very good teams who will probably figure in the play-offs come next May. This however represents a minuscule percentage of our matches this season. My objection to the continual doom-laded carping on this page, is that it is completely out of proportion. The team has barely had time to gel (new arrivals as recently as yesterday) and there are more than enough matches remaining in which to show significant improvement. For your information, I don't wear rose-tinted glasses, but I do recognise that the season is a long one, with many a twist and turn to come. I'm surprised that in view of your stated longevity you are unable to similarly take a more reasoned, longer-term view. |

At his first Q and A at the open evening with Taylor, Micky Moore said that he'd sign "good people over good players". Just looking at Ojo's wiki it looks like he's a real gem of a person as well as a player. "He entered a not-guilty plea to a charge of assault for an incident that took place following a Scottish Premiership match at Tannadice Park in November 2021. Ojo admitted he had "squared-up" to an opposition fan, and was fined £400 after being found guilty of pushing the man and knocking his glasses off, though the punch Ojo had thrown was ruled to have been in self-defence."
