With no loan spots left and no money in the kitty this will probably be a very quiet thread.
The only way I see any movement will require us to sell (one of Shipley or Bloxham) which both seem unlikely or RW gets his cheque book out.
The sad reality is we probably need 2-3 players but be very lucky to get one in today.
Desperate for a CB & CM & probably a RB

A centre back that can cover (properly) right back is a must in my opinion.

No matter what the situation we are desperate for another CB , our only real asset is Shipley as a potential swap deal , I guess as unlikely as a 6th loan though
oh well we can hope , I'm sure someone was hoping for Danny wellbeck to arrive a couple of seasons ago so my hopes are not quite as far fetched I guess 😝😝

A right-back is the absolute minimum for me, but don’t think it’ll happen. Seven defenders, with one already injured and one called up on international duty is bordering on negligence.
The budget must be literal peanuts this season. Who will even be on decent money? Shipley, Marquis, maybe Winchester?

If the window slams shut with Pierre, Toto, our Feeney and injured Feeney then it might possibly be the worst centre back defensive options we've had in League one and will inevitably send us down.
But we all know that anyway.

Where is the budget being spent? All of our decent players are here on loan, and we’ll presumably be paying next to nothing for them. |

And of that 7 sounds like 1 was signed knowing he was injured (Feeney), 1 is perennially unfit (Pierre) and 1 is Nurse, who should have had no expectations at all.. |

Rumour on Twitter (X) of Alex Gilliead from Bradford, not a winger anymore, can play CM and RWB (maybe even Right Back), two year deal. Passing this on so don’t shoot the messenger.

Quickly went on some Bradford forums and they were largely saying he’s decent and well liked there. That being said they made out we’re signing a decent league two midfielder. |
