Hurst was in the star today again repeating his mantra that they won't be signing anyone but you can never say never. Our Loan center back is injured our left back is injured. Our holding midfielder is injured and they are talking about him having pain killer injections!
Our current right back gets overloaded and struggles the two center backs are not fit for purpose and I'm struggling to recall a worse defensive line be up for town.
So if we had a money tree, I would say a right back, two center backs and a holding midfielder are the bare minimum. But that is as likely as a flying pig, I'm not holding my breath.

That was just a repeated article from Tuesday night when he said the same thing, not saying that will make much of a difference mind

Rumour on Twitter (X) of Alex Gilliead from Bradford, not a winger anymore, can play CM and RWB (maybe even Right Back), two year deal. Passing this on so don’t shoot the messenger. Could be to be fair. Id say most of Askeys signings that summer (aside from Norburn) were the list targets Hurst had drawn up if we were still in L1 and him in charge.

Depends if anyone at the club holds a grudge. Sent back last time for allegedly punching Mike Jackson on the team coach… Really ? Let's hope he has been an anger management course. Allegedly

Gilliead then? Very odd signing. Agreed but the club didn’t make comment on anyone leaving, so that possibility may explain it.

I'd say it's Gilliead. Nolan and any other free agent can sign at any time.

Biggins to Carlisle on loan.
Shambles, what a disorganised mess.

Biggins recommended by Moore, but Hurst just not having him after a poor pre-season and opening few games? Just a guess but can’t think how else this could’ve happened.

It seems like there could be a second incoming to replace Biggins.
That's a strange one.

I wouldn’t be so sure, Hurst has form with this, see Dan James. I feel sorry for Biggins in that when he was brought in he was talked about by Hurst and co as a goal scoring midfielder, yet since then we’ve loaned in a number of kids and he’s had to sit in front of the back four. Shows to me there was no real plan in place for recruitment this summer.

Biggins to Carlisle on loan. Shambles, what a disorganised mess. I dont see an issue with it, unexpected but Biggins hasn't hit the ground running, if we dont act today then January might be too late seems its freed up the wages to try someone else I think thats how football works

Agree with you Feedo about Biggins, he was signed early and trumped up only to be benched for not the most dynamic midfield.
Other one I feel for is Lloyd, who has to contend with Bloxham.

I would imagine most clubs in our position have 80% of their squad they would like to change yes didnt Burton sign a player the other week and then loan him out before he arrived at the club ? what could have been

Biggins gone out on loan to Carlisle. Again, very weird. Has looked crap though. Gone on a season long loan so every likelihood that he will have a permanent signing to replace him.
