Anyone got any thoughts on who might be part of the squad for this one then.
Guess both the Feeneys wont be available? Guess Rossiter wont be risked? Any more knocks from Saturday? Will Nurse be given some game time? Do you think we will have any of the youngsters involved? Do you think we will have a full bench?

Never bother with these games but as it’s free on Sky I may give it a watch.
Savin
Hoole - Nsiala - Pierre - Benning
Winchester - Perry
Bloxham - Biggins - Sagoe
Kayode
Prediction: 3-2 to Fulham.

Was hoping for some rotation, until realising we haven’t many we can bring in! Only four fit in defence so that picks itself.
Young
Hoole Pierre Nsiala Benning
Rossiter Biggins
Lloyd Perry Sargoe
Kayode

Give minutes to those who need it, and try to rest everyone else.

Can't actually rest the back four given the injuries to that department.
Those on the bench should probably play though.

I’ve heard it’s not good news regarding Morgan Feeney

It's a chance to try something new up front:
Savin Hule Nsiala Pierre Benning Winchester O'Reilly Biggins Lloyd Sagoe Kayode

Young Hoole Pierre Nsiala Benning Rossiter Biggins Lloyd Perry Sargoe Kayode Which is a concern considering how dire and slow out two center backs are. We badly need replacements for the two center backs who are not fit for purpose and are going to cost us goals and we need a real physical presence as a holding midfielder. we should have kept Dunkley he broke up a lot of moves.

Looking forward to see how we line up and hopefully the lads can continue to improve and implement the game plan Hurst wants from start to final whistle. Just like last season and seasons gone by there has been some good parts and some indifferent parts so far but that's why I support the Shrews till the end.

In regards too the central defence, I really would like to see one of our youth players given a chance. We are playing a U21 team and having a wild stab in the dark here but I think one of there forwards might have a bit of pace. Unfortunately, I seem to remember that PH doesn’t like using the youngsters, even for the bench, but here’s hoping.

Was thinking along those lines myself, however what I don't know is if we are allowed to play them while they are on loan at the various non league clubs we've shipped them out to? I suppose it all depends on what we've written into the loan paperwork

It's a chance to try something new up front: Savin Hule Nsiala Pierre Benning Winchester O'Reilly Biggins Lloyd Sagoe Kayode This is probably what id expect unless Hurst wants to also include Perry. Definitely minutes for Lloyd, Sagoe and Kayode. Otherwise it's a mix of whoever they might want to rest. Shipley obvious one I suppose as more cover there. Bloxham hasn't started season that well so maybe him ahead of O'Reilly. Back 5 and Winchester not ideal to all play but no other choice really. And some time to pass the ball between themselves might be handy! Not sure if youngsters can be on the bench if out on loan.

Think changing around formation for the defence now is not what they need. Anyway the best players I would say who could form the outside centre backs of a back 3 are both out (Nurse and Morgan Feeney). Maybe you could play Hoole, Nsiala and Pierre but then you'd want Benning as a wing back so not totally sure what the point would be. And not sure who would play RWB

Parking available at Meadow tonight. £5 cash on the gate. 7.30pm KO instead of the normal 7.45pm.

Would do a Cotterill and stick some kids in tonight , anyone involved in the first X1 vs Huddersfield shouldnt be involved, just too risky for a pointless game.

Young (GK), Lloyd, Perry, Kayode, Sagoe Jr, Nurse (if fit enough) must start. Give others a rest.
Issue is the back four. Other than Nurse for Benning, picks itself.

These EFL Trophy games are kind of a free hit, though I'm surprised the youngsters have been put out on loan already, they should be filling the bench. Farm them out when the competition is over.
If Micky Moore is critical of not being able to fill a bench from the previous regime then it should apply to this one as well.
