I would like to congratulate Mickey Moore for signing Jack Price, Aaron Pierre, Carl Winchester, Elliott Bennett and recommending Paul Hurst to the chairman. We would’ve struggled to do this without him.

If he's scouting young and up coming players to sell on in the future( which Shrewsbury have always done) then he ain't doing a very good job ATM is he... .but heyho they all might come good yet😳🤔🤔 Well when he came in, we hoped for good loans and some young players who could progress and maybe sell on. But from this season it's been close to a complete failure. Loans have more or less entirely not worked. And anyone to sell on - Sraha, ?Feeney, Mata, Sobowale, Idowu and Perry. Dont think we would generate any money at all from any of them right now. Arguably the best signing right now was the 29 year old back up left back. It's been a very odd year. But hey, if town stay up then the club have arguably achieved their most important target

It was literally RWs appointment that he's been desperate to make every since Hurst left, but naughty Brian and his wife prevented it. (Remember her quickly deleted tweet 😂)

As soon as the narrative hinted there was a connection with Moore and a potentially decent signing this thread descended into a childish pantomime 🤦🤦♀️🤦♂️

Those players are certainly an upgrade that the budget loans and signings made by Mr Moore but he would offer in his defence, that the budget would not stretch to anyone better.

Wasn't Jack Price linked pre Moore? and pre Hurst? Was very close to joining under Ricketts until Colorado changed their manager.

I will give him a plus for getting Hernes on a full pro 3 year contract thereby ensuring that Newcastle paid a decent fee rather than one of those stupid development fees. Think we need to give him a bit longer to prove himself but his end of term school report is "must try harder"and "stop relying on old friends and aquatences as they will let you down"

My prediction is Jack Price will be Shrewsbury Town captain for season 2024/25.

He did well, made one good crunching tackle and managed to pass the ball to a teammate in the same momentum.
Always wanted the ball and never lost it - a rare thing in a Town Shirt.

Liked the way he was organising things from the moment he came on. If his fitness is up to it he should be a great asset - for 7 games at least.
But - let’s not go overboard. It was 20 minutes, defending a lead against a rock bottom and truly awful team. Let’s see how he looks against Oxford and Pompey and Bolton before we make him player of the season already.

Jack Price looked mustard and in my opinion is player of the season already.

I've not been impressed by hair of the facial or traditional variety since poor Elliott Thorpe's arrival, I hope Price goes onto have more impact than Thorpey.

I thought it was a decent cameo from Price and stand by my last comment that he is exactly the type of player we need and have needed all season.
Very good positional play, few decent interceptions and used the ball well when he had it. Definitely calmed things down as we were under a bit of pressure before he came on. Can see his leadership skills aswell which can only help.
Hopefully it goes well and we can sign him for next season.

Massive few minutes for him after frustrating 12mths. Did the simple things well. Just the kind of player we need for remainder of season to come off the bench and calm things.

He certainly likes pointing! The new midfield general perhaps. I was hoping he'd be a straight swap for Perry and then Winchester had to come off so he sat back a bit , I wonder if we have an option to extent his contract at the end of the season ?

I get people looking for positives but all I really saw from him today was him looking up and watching the ball be punted backwards and forwards over his head. Not the best of games to come on and make a debut in, which he also alludes to in his post match comments.
