I hope the 50 Over Format survives and has a resurgence, its my favourite format but it seems to get booted around the schedule.
Still, Up the Pears!

Who would want to be a bowler in 35c.

.....and possibly another 700 runs in this game yet....England must just bat on and on and on to 700 if possible.

Now a record England partnership between Root & Brook. Pakistan's second innings will determine whether this goes down as a great performance and a possible England victory or simply some records broken on a flat road of a pitch which makes a mockery of test cricket

Has a team ever lost a test scoring over 550 in their first innings?

Has a team ever lost a test scoring over 550 in their first innings? Bangladesh against New Zealand a few years ago, I think I heard. Not by an innings though, that'd be a first.

The beauty of test cricket, 3 and a half days of easy batting, people complaining it's boring and it's obviously going to be a draw. A few sessions later and England are looking at a famous victory

What a disappointingly sparse crowd, decent following from the barmy army though.

Every time Root and Brook hit a shot square this morning I felt their pain! What a bowling performance it was late on, that Woakes first ballโฆ.๐๐

I suspect many would have done the same. I've taken great joy in reminding a work colleague that 24 hours ago he was moaning about the game, how it's pointless, is just a glorified net session and is why test cricket is dying The next test is at the same venue so will be interesting to see how that pans out now
