Excellent win for Worcs. They are now above Warwickshire, Notts, Lancs and Kent in the table, with the bottom 2 to be relegated. Essex away Thursday, and its Kent v. Warwick

Hats off to Joe Root, a record equaling 33rd test hundred.
You wonder how many more he would have had if he had managed to convert more of his 62 test 50s.

I wish England would pick a specialist opening batsman, Lawrence is not one for sure.

Up the Pears, looking forward to downing w***y Warwick next week and who knows maybe even finish above them, and Notts might even go down, now that would be karma for the open Cheque book from Trent Bridge

Spent miilions on the ground and not enough on the players. Similar to Glamorgan. So they end up with 16 year old Rocky Flintoff as a middle order batter.

Surely the work on the ground was to keep up with test match specifications. Neither a problem nor a specification at New Road😁

Could be a tight finish ? Perhaps it won't A thoroughly well deserved victory by the tourists. I don't think England showed anywhere near the level of professional respect to their opponents in this test match. England deserved to be trounced, some of these English players are not as good as they think they are.

Glad Sri Lanka won. England are arrogant to think they can play reckless cricket and still win tests.

Worcs should NOT have enforced the follow on and batted them out of the game.
All we need is a draw. We've now given them a chance to win - 113/1 at the moment.

I'm surprised that there is any play at all with the weather we are having.
I was also surprised to see Amar Virdi playing for the Pears. It was not that long ago that he was being mentioned as one of the up and coming young spinners in the county game.

Blimey, more international cricket as England take on the Aussies in a frenetic end of the season white ball bash.
8 T20s/ODIs between now and the 29th September.
Crazy.

The one day cup final (a competition already devalued as it is) reduced to a 20 over a side match at the back end of September.

The one day cup final (a competition already devalued as it is) reduced to a 20 over a side match at the back end of September. Typical of the ECB, we won the 2019 ODI World Cup and rather than try and build on that momentum, they devalued the format in this country.
