Practically every post on Facebook & Twitter is calling for Moore to go. the whole reason we have a DOF if for a day like today, instead of us having a new guy come in with no idea what's going on in the window, contracts, this and that, its all in place, Moore has no input on the managers selections, formations, subs, its purely for a business point of view, 18 clubs in league one have a DOF Are you blind? I don't want to do away with a DOF, I want one who's qualified for the job. How many times?

I've heard the same as another couple who've reached out to me. Roland has two choices:
1) Keep Moore, appoint Duff.
2) **** Moore off, get Hurst & Doing back.
We shall see ...

Absolutely certain I will be in the wrong here but I liked Mat Taylor. I wish him every success and I hope that one day he will open up and let us know what a can of worms was in the back room. I allude to big knob and to a lesser extent pariah. What support did matt really have. I don't think Flanagan helped either

A likeable enough guy who was dealt a somewhat tricky hand, but results and performances haven't been anywhere near good enough and I'm increasingly convinced that while it's not the greatest squad ever assembled lots of managers could be doing more with it.

Nothing against Taylor, in fact he came across as a nice bloke. But ultimately the right decision. It just hasn't been good enough from minute one, and at the rate we were/are going it would have resulted in relegation. Hopefully we'll give ourselves a chance with this decision.

No thanks for Hurst and his sidekick. Whilst it was the last time we had a team with some quality and a plan and a good rappor with the fans. His departure was grubby. Move onto someone new, Duff ex Cheltenham will be known by Moore or Eustace.

All fans are equal to me whether they go to one game or every game, I don't see a need to stoke division in the fanbase. There's plenty who have reasons which mean they can't attend but are still the biggest fans of the club.

Taylor gave it a go, seemed a decent bloke but I think we’ve all found out management isn’t his thing. We have enough good players from last year not to have been so poor, even with Moore’s downgrades in quality in other areas of the park.
Give the people what they want. Hurst looks nice in loggerhead clothes.

Thank **** Bignott has gone, just get Moore ****ed off and this horrendous experiment is over. You are not wrong here. Moore needs feckin off too. Feel very sorry for Taylor. Taylor has been hung out to dry. The Fall guy, working with both hands tied behind his back. Glad Bignot has departed but remember he was not a Taylor choice - I think he said that he had never met MB.

As a life long Town fan it's never a good day when we have to sack a manager, or in this case head coach.
Could Matt Taylor have done better with a more experienced number 2 for him to turn to? Who knows?
He was certainly a man who carried himself well and was very likeable, sadly those qualities count for not a lot when results go against you.
I do feel sorry for him because he was always going to be the fall guy from day one if things went pear shaped.
Taylor has been hung out to dry, sadly.
However, I also don't think Moore comes out of this at all well and the next man in will be a real test of Moore's recruitment ability, his neck is on the line too.
As an aside, I'm glad that it's not Bignot stepping up to take over, that would have been a highly unpopular move.

Really sorry MT didn't make it. I wish him well in whatever he does next. If it's management then he needs to be THE manager, though lower down the pyramid to gain experience, I'm sure he can do it in time.. It's a harsh environment football management, who among us would be daft enough to put ourselves up for it?

I liked Matt Taylor as a person, but he wasn't helped by the state of the club when he joined us, he always seemed to be on the back foot. I hope he picks up another job, maybe in League Two or the Conference, to get himself back up and running again.
I hope we go for a more experienced head coach this time. I think having the DOF structure is the right way, as it means contracts and plans going forward remain in place, while the search for a new head coach is conducted. (If it hasn't already, Mr Hurst and Co.)
I expect Chey and Brian Jensen to take temporary charge, if there isn't a replacement in by the weekend.

I wonder where that leaves the loanees that are repordly lined up to sign? Will they presented to the new manager as a done deal or will he get a choice?

Sorry to see him go as managers only get sacked if the team are not doing well. Hes been pleading for more players and a decent striker for weeks with nothing coming so whos fault is that? Allthough the football was not great but I do think the players let Matt down. Score some of thoughs missed chances and we'd be top half. But its a results game and now hes gone so who next? If it is Hurst I think it will split the fans and could be the first manager to get booed on his first home game.1

One of the primary tasks of a Director of Football is to identify and recruit players who can enhance the team's performance Actions speak louder than words so far we've seen little positive evidence in terms of player recruitment. I found Sam Ricketts plan for the club was inspiring....until the football started.

I am so disappointed in this. I can’t even describe how I feel.
I wish him every success for his future hopefully one where he won’t have people working behind him and an injured player sniping on the radio.
I truly hope it’s not Hurst back. When it comes to integrity he’s not even at the races. Whether the stories about his leaving are true or not the indisputable fact is that he went and he knew at Wembley he was going cleared desk or not.

Interesting, I thought Bignot would have initially taken over...seems to me something or someone has already been set up, as can't see an interim being in charge with us in a precarious position. Also, with Moore's comments of having faith, is it RW that has said enough is enough? More pressure on Roland means he Weald the axe

Better luck next time Matt Taylor. Dealt a bad hand in terms of what he had to deal with. Moore out before he gets his Cheltenham ‘jobs for the boys’ mates in. The recruitment has been woeful as Flanagan said. I want the club to survive but also prosper. I’d rather have Cotterill back with zero access to spending rather than Hurst. If Hurst is nailed on I’d like it to be until the end of the season.

At least Hursts departure gave us 2 million in the bank for 2 players that became 2 bob players very soon after...for that I thank him.
I just hope it's Matt Sadler coming in.
