****ing brilliant Salop!! A clean sheet and a win!
first 30 minutes were awful despite defending well. We started to get back into the game and after half time we came out a different team. It wasn't pretty but its a win and an important clean sheet.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I guess that's about the best we can hope for until we can hopefully strengthen somewhat come January. Backs to the wall for the most part (more so the first 45) but a much needed three points. Well done Town!!

Well MK can't complain: all that possession and only two shots on target against a team playing "rope-a-dope".
One thing for sure the Town are not playing the way he said he wants them to play. He's going back to the values of November and December last year. And rightly so: we're a poor side in a relegation battle.

Hmm. Negative crowd reaction is not beneficial short term, but it is long term. It gets managers sacked. It gets players dropped. It gets owners out. That's fan power. That's why all football supporters do it. In other words, negative crowd reaction will not help the team today. But it will eventually. Every team that's ever existed will have experienced it. And every team in the future will too. So I disagree that it's 'not helpful' or 'shows a lack of support'. It in fact shows the opposite. As a poster summed it up earlier...should we just politely clap??? I'm not one to boo or hurl abuse etc. Just playing devils advocate here. Ok. Can I ask why you would want the manager sacked? He is probably near the top end of the managers that we could attract here. We are also losing money left right and centre. The team is showing signs of improving and consistently working their asses off in games to get the 3 points. Things are nowhere near as bad as they were near the end under Ricketts, Mellon, Graham turner etc. RW will not sack SC. I could bet my house on it. He has wanted him a long time and we dont have the money to pay him off. If fans become volatile and put pressure on RW to sack SC then that is a lose lose situation to me. We cant keep paying managers off and then giving new managers a budget to bring in their own players. I have faith in SC. I believe he will turn it around and I am sure he knows his mistakes in the transfer window. When the players stop trying and we are getting battered every week then yes feel free to show your displeasure but at this moment in time with the players giving 100% and only losing by the odd goal I just feel we should be getting behind the team in this fight for survival. Don't want manager sacked. Just saying I understand why some do. I agree with you on all points.

Cotterill the manager has got enough about him to do something about the poor hand dealt him by Cotterill the recruiter. It will be a battle all the way to remain in League One though.

Well done, players and management. Hopefully no lasting injuries, good to see Bowman is ok and hopefully they can gain a lot of optimism from the performance.

Makes you wonder if Bowman's dicky ticker was something we knew could happen when he had his medical? Something that is already known not to be a major problem?
I refrained from coming on at Half Time saying we had not conceeded this time: It worked.

Shame on those hoping for a nil nil 😜
Mkd dominated but did they actually threaten ? I can’t remember , maybe first half was their best chance when makosi did a good save
Good change at half time , bowman fair play after last week Udoh good game but needs to be fitter
pyke on instead of Tom ?
Tom showed why when he came on
3 points I didn’t expect but I’ll take them 👍

Fascinating today.
We chased shadows for large parts of the game as MK retained and moved the ball around the park.
Some great shifts put in by the lads with the exception of Mr Cosgrove who was poor. Bloxham chasing around when he came on showed us what Cosgrove fails to deliver.
Great move for the goal and great finish by Mr Whalley.
That is the best defensive performance this season by Salop

Moments later when we had chance to break he was too out of breath to run.

Hard working performance battling defensively Ebanks Landell my man of the match Udoh second for that accolade, he worked so hard and made Whalleys goal but all the team worked hard and a good decision to sub Cosgrove. Looks like the bookings are and suspensions alongside injuries are building up but anyone who comes in will just have to battle like all on the pitch did today BIG PLUS first clean sheet of the league season! Well done to Marosi my first choice keeper and ably abetted by a sterling defensive performance!

I’ve always said I’d love to be entertained and that’s no different despite the win. Of course I’m happy we managed to get some vital points but that was uninspiring in the extreme. We had one chance - and yes in fairness our defending in numbers limited them to just two - and put it away.
I can’t imagine it’s any sign of a turnaround as we were just so basic. Come May it might be a massive 3 points down the bottom though.

Great to see his determination but I cleverer player would conserve their energy.

Cosgrove was deservedly hooked off at HT. Bowman offered far more up front.
Pyke didn't do much when replacing Udoh.
