About time we all had a word with ourselves. We are meant to be supporters. Yes their have been issues this season, yes the transfer window was poor and yes the start was awful but the fact is we are in a relegation scr@p. The players have been in every game and are giving maximum effort. This is the squad we have so why don't we try get behind them instead of being so god dam depressing. Scr@ping for every point and having something to play for is one of the bests part of being a football fan. Who'd want a boring midtable finish Good post Totally agree Coybs

Amazing really as a professional football club in League One we’re approaching games with Davis, a left back and a right winger as our central midfield.

I agree we should support the team during the game if maximum effort is put in…….. If however the poor results continue any dissatisfaction at the end shoukd be directed at the manager and board…. or should we politely clap? Depends how you would direct your dissatisfaction. If its going to create a negative atmosphere during a dog fight it isnt going to lead to anything productive.

Hmm. Negative crowd reaction is not beneficial short term, but it is long term. It gets managers sacked. It gets players dropped. It gets owners out. That's fan power. That's why all football supporters do it.
In other words, negative crowd reaction will not help the team today. But it will eventually. Every team that's ever existed will have experienced it. And every team in the future will too. So I disagree that it's 'not helpful' or 'shows a lack of support'. It in fact shows the opposite.
As a poster summed it up earlier...should we just politely clap???
I'm not one to boo or hurl abuse etc. Just playing devils advocate here.

On a related note: if the players do positive things, the crowd will cheer and back them. The crowd is just a reflection of what's happening on the pitch.

He is probably near the top end of the managers that we could attract here. We are also losing money left right and centre. The team is showing signs of improving and consistently working their asses off in games to get the 3 points. Things are nowhere near as bad as they were near the end under Ricketts, Mellon, Graham turner etc. RW will not sack SC. I could bet my house on it. He has wanted him a long time and we dont have the money to pay him off. If fans become volatile and put pressure on RW to sack SC then that is a lose lose situation to me. We cant keep paying managers off and then giving new managers a budget to bring in their own players. I have faith in SC. I believe he will turn it around and I am sure he knows his mistakes in the transfer window. When the players stop trying and we are getting battered every week then yes feel free to show your displeasure but at this moment in time with the players giving 100% and only losing by the odd goal I just feel we should be getting behind the team in this fight for survival.

In general the crowd have backed the team well during games. It was the mentality on here I was challenging but maybe it is just a noisy few and the majority are behind the team.

Cosgrove over Bloxham. I know he's a kid and you've got to keep him grounded, but at least he tries.

It is like being dropped has given him a reality check so He deserves a start. It will be interesting whether Leahy or Ogbeta will be play at left wing back. Or it could be a change in formation, a 4 3 3 or Pilch might be getting hish wish of 4 2 4

let us hope that town can turn things around today but i would be happy with a goalless draw, a point and a clean sheet would feel like a good result..

Looks like 3 4 3. Udoh left, Cosgrove centre and Whalley right

I understand your point, but wouldn't that result in a long-ball, aerial system....memories of the Welsh Air Force of Ron Davies and Wyn Davies in the old Southampton team.... Mind you, given our lack of a midfield, perhaps not a bad idea!

We are trying to press with our front 3 but our midfield is so deep that they can just pass it around us with ease.

At least Doncaster don't look to be putting us under much pressure points wise. They are 2-0 down already

No composure on the ball at all. Judging from the radio commentary, we've hardly had the bloody thing yet....

Possession is no surprise I suppose. Just looked at stats - MK Dons have put together the most 10 pass sequences in the league so far - 142. Shrewsbury have done 19 so far this season.

MK Dons currently have 81% possession.

Anybody know what formation we are playing?? Because it’s not working (AGAIN!!).
SC - please look at MKD and how they are playing. That is how to set up a team. A formation that the players know what their role is - and one where the pass and move football looks good and works
Perhaps we could try it sometime??
1 keeper 2 centre backs 3 left backs 2 strikers 2 right wingers And only 1 centre midfielder
That is our team!!!!!

MK Dons currently have 81% possession. Staggering. If we can stop them turning that possession into goals we could capitalise if they run out of ideas and their heads go down. Not sure if that's the masterplan or not, but it's the best I can think of.

We have been more in the game the last 5 and have had a couple of half chances. For all MK possession we have managed to keep it tight and they have not had any real chances at goal.
