www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10008103/Eco-mob-block-M25-7am-TODAY.htmlA group of 15 activists from Insulate Britain sat in the road at Junction 18 at Rickmansworth, near Watford, this morning as they offered their 'sympathies' to a woman paralysed by a stroke after getting stuck in traffic for six hours last week. They also blocked the A1M at Welwyn Garden City. The group also bragged that many of those blocking the M25 today 'have participated in all four actions to date', adding that only one person among the 245 people arrested in the previous three protests has appeared in court, believed to be a ringleader named Nick Cooper who has repeatedly blocked roads for Extinction Rebellion since 2018. Priti Patel and the police aren't doing too well here!

Need to stop pandering to these idiots. Needs a few vehicles brakes to "fail". Couldn't agree more Heard a shocking story this morning where somebody got held up for 6 hours by these morons whilst trying to rush his Mother to hospital as she was having a stroke. Devastating for them. Yet more inadequate decision making and leadership from Cressida Dick

Very sad. My thoughts are with the family.
People are dying every day because of the wilful neglect of the nhs by the government over the past 11 years. Don’t be hypocrites boys, let’s hear your screams of outrage!

I was thinking more of dragging the protesters off the road even if they've glued themselves to it.

I’m outraged by anything that causes unnecessary deaths.
We have enough to put up with the state of the NHS but that is absolutely no reason to excuse fellow members of the public for causing such disruption and havoc to their fellow beings. They are a disgrace and should be locked up. If they want to demonstrate, do it outside Parliament or the party conferences not where you are harming others who can do nothing for your cause.
Dreadful people.

Good work. In any serious country mainstream political parties would have this as a policy at front and centre of their political programmes.
I trust the motorists will switch their engines off.

If you mean the zealots who cause choas should be sidelined because the major political parties are doing something about green issues then I agree with you.
If I rememver rightly, Mr Corbyn's manifesto addressed Green issues and proposed insulating Britain. Had we, including Boris, adopted similar policies then these protesters would have to find another tree to hug.

I suspect most people probably agree (or at the very least do not object) with the reasons why these people are protesting, however they don't want their lives impacted or inconvenienced by them. But protests which are convenient for society do not tend to grab headlines.

Obviously not just me that thinks the same then. I've no doubt if a few drivers deliberately drive fast at them they would soon foookin move out of the way. If not they get what they deserve, they are breaking the law just being there anyway.

If only we could sideline the zealots who cause the chaos - unfortunately oil companies are effective political lobbyists.

Pretty sure most people are taught by the age of 5 if you step out in a road you run the risk of getting mowed down. Seems logical that if you choose to sit in it, the same might happen. Absolutely disgusting what they are doing, to people just trying to make a living

I’m sorry but the right to protest is fine but the right to inconvenience, and possibly worse, other people who can make no difference to the situation has to be wrong. People will travelling along the M25 for many reasons, some of which could be vital for them. They should be allowed to go about their business and not be delayed by these stupid attention seeking idiots.

Fair play to those who got out and gave them verbals. Only mistake they made was not giving them some knuckle as well.
These people are the absolute scum of the earth, the worst kind of people. They don't work, serial campaigners and squatters. The kind of scum that inconvenience everybody trying to make a living and actually abiding by the law whether it's blocking road or illegally occupying property that isn't theirs.
Tossers.

I'm sure GrizzlyShrew is just a big 'ol teddy bear at heart, not a grizzly at all I've got no problem with peoples right to protest, as long as they have no problem with drivers rights to drive along a motorway. If they get in the way they have a choice, either get mown down or if they are lucky survive that and get arrested for being where they shouldnt. 🙂

If a society can't cope with some local traffic disruption without resorting to violence (or wishing it on others of course, that's the easy way), its chances of coping with the disruption caused by the developing consequences of global heating are negligible at best.
Never mind, we can carry on kidding ourselves that putting out the recycling every fortnight will do the job.
I used to think it might be our great grandchildren who'd be cursing the failure of our generations to take the problem seriously, but it seems more likely to be our grandchildren or perhaps even our children.
