Thanks NWM for sharing the above, very heart warming and so so true.
I really hope test cricket is with us for many many years to come.

Another wash out...this time in the first T20.

Another wash out...this time in the first T20. Just as well. After England's middle order collapse, I could see Pakistan winning that. Moeen Ali looks horribly out of form with the bat.

It's great to be watching live cricket again on the BBC. Boiling up to be a good finish too.

I think the 2 balls faced by Moeen Ali today certainly confirmed my earlier observation that he's horribly out of form.
Poor bowling by England, but the batsmen got them out of jail.

It certainly makes you appreciate the quality of the Sky Sports coverage. But still great to see cricket back on terrestrial tv, we need more of it and I’m sure coverage would get more polished.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. The fact that it was a good game that went all the way helped alot. With no adverts and crowd it's a difficult gig to do now. The constant highlights of batsman fours and sixes drives me mad along with the presenter who just keeps giggling over the slightest thing, as she does on the radio.

I watch with the sound on mute. Commentary isn’t needed, players have their names on their shirts and frequent replays make it redundant.

'Moeen Ali has to be a concern, however. He was dismissed for one yesterday having scored only nine runs in his previous three innings. The selectors may be wondering whether it would best for him to return to Worcestershire for the rest of the season'. The Times.
Yes please! Worcestershire's lack of spin options was exposed by Northants in the T20.

The commentators will explain nuances and explore themes that your mind wouldn’t have automatically considered. I beseech you to change course on this one, sir.

I beseech you to change course on this one, sir. Such as should the Jimmy Anderson sign be bigger/lit up with neon lights and other such inane comments? I think I've watched enough cricket over the years to appreciate the nuances of the game without having to listen to Vaughan and his colleagues whitter on about something or nothing. Sometimes less is more.

Talking over the third umpire on decision reviews. The same repeated jokes about the ‘stat cave’ being some dark and secluded place. Constantly linking everything back to Jimmy Anderson despite the fact he hasn’t played any form of T20 in many years. A lot of improvement required.

Worcestershire's lack of spin options was exposed by Northants in the T20. Selectors still have confidence in him as they've picked him for both the upcoming T20s and ODIs vs Australia. Full squads: T20 squad: Eoin Morgan (captain), Moeen Ali, Jofra Archer, Jonny Bairstow, Tom Banton, Sam Billings, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Joe Denly, Chris Jordan, Dawid Malan, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood. Reserves: Liam Livingstone, Saqib Mahmood. ODI squad: Eoin Morgan (captain), Moeen Ali, Jofra Archer, Jonny Bairstow, Tom Banton, Sam Billings, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood. Reserves: Joe Denly, Saqib Mahmood.

What has David Willey done wrong? And what has Joe Denly done right?

Unbelievable to leave Willey out of the ODI squad after his performances vs Ireland. Also feel the selectors have written off Joe Root’s T20 credentials far too easily.

Selectors keeping faith with Moeen Ali, in the starting eleven for this evening's final T20 vs Pakistan.
Pakistan 190 for 4 (innings closed).

RIP David Capel. A very good all rounder in his time and a stalwart of Northamptonshire CCC.

Well Australia managed to snatch defeat out of the gapping jaws of victory. Needing 39 off 38 balls with 9 wickets remaining they needed 15 off final over and despite hitting a 6 needed 5 off the final ball but lost by 2 runs.
