Hopefully we'll be back by the seaside next summer and be blessed with 4 days of glorious weather and a game to match. I wouldn't mind seeing Glamorgan play a few one day games at the same venue as well.

Will be interesting to see who gets the nod in the bowling department.
Assuming they go with a Bess as spin option plenty of competition for pace bowling options
Not confident with batting, feel there a few nice fifties but no confidence of anyone going big

So no Bairstow or Moeen in the 22.
Long way back for them, I reckon.
James Bracey will be disappointed that he didn't make the starting eleven, I watched him in the warm up game the other day and he looked in very good touch.
I wonder if England will go back to the old guard of Broad and Anderson?

Truly bizarre that Shagger Curran is on the bench. The selectors’ minds must be touching the void to reach that conclusion - he’s raring to go and fighting fit.
Of greater concern is the reaction from my grandson when I have to tell him that his favourite isn’t playing. Am going to have to protect all the breakables in the living room based on his previous Shagger histrionics.

I knew as I clicked on the link it would. So predictable.

It’s a fair point. I suppose it’s an unavoidable by-product of Curran being the most talked about member of the team and the need for me to identify who I’m talking about in the most commonly used terms possible.

Very predictable of you 😄

Woakes and Broad miss out.
Play to start at 2pm, England to bat first.

Disappointed not to see Cornwall in for West Indies, although after Chase’s 8-for when we toured there last year, they might think they don’t need him.
