Not entirely sure what he was doing there to give that away, needless challenge. Keep should have saved it too, guessed the right way but went under him.
Come on Town!!

At 2.0 down at Accrington I wrote us off so.....
There is no way we are winning this one 3.2

If we could just put in a decent cross in once or twice, actually find a Town player...

Right, it's time for Plan B then, if we have one. Have a theory that we're actually better when we're forced to go s**t or bust, a'la Accrington Stanley, rather than grinding out another 0-0. Might need to concede another to force Ricketts hand, mind! Oh, there we go - game on!

Not a chance of us getting a goal v Ipswich with that line up. Best hope another nil nil or Udoh cameo. Glad I didn't travel tbh. we'll be 2 up early on Are you Ipswich in disguise? 😉

At 2.0 down at Accrington I wrote us off so..... There is no way we are winning this one 3.2 I'd like to think we could do it again but Accrington were still a bit fragile at 2-0 up having not yet won this season and tending to protect their lead. These lot will be full of confidence now.

Do look as though we could cause them problems.

Awful start. Awful game management after going 1 down early on. At least its calmed down last 5 minutes.
Need to keep the ball and get a bit of confidence and then push on. Not over yet but not feeling confident.

Bit of a cliche, but the next goal is crucial.

Oh dear. Just can’t see a Stoke/Accrington comeback here. Saw this coming.

Please, football gods, let us win this one. It would be so... gratifying. (Although, a draw will do.) A draw really, really will do.

Look on the bright side, at least we can't Whalley and Morrison up front in the next game!

Whalley an absolute idiot! Failed to retreat for a unthreatening free kick in the middle then caught the defender late in the corner, again needlessly.

Could be worse, could be 2 down at home to Stockport. Feel for anyone who made the journey, think I’d be back in the car making the trip back by now.

Our own worst enemies today by the sound of it, our mistakes leading to their two goals and then an avoidable red card. Whalley will miss the game at Wimbledon so hopefully we can cope without him for that game, particularly if we've signed another striker of two by then.

From the Ipswich forum.
"The first yellow was really stupid, would be livid with him if I were a Shrewsbury fan.
Think they’ve looked a really good side to be fair."

Purely a damage limitation exercise now.
And might concentrate SR's mind on signing a striker. I'd prefer two!

Trevor Kettle’s eager card hand strikes Shrewsbury again. Kettle had no choice, both clear yellows for Whalley who was an absolute idiot.

Really disappointing.
I mean, I get we're playing the unbeaten, ex Championship league leaders but I think, outside of the Ricketts fan club of course, most of us would have predicted getting a 0 0 or nicking a goal would be unlikely today.
Given the expectation was probably a defeat why not at least try something different today? 4 4 2 maybe, with Whalley and Giles on the wings, Beckles pushing out to left back? Udoh up front with Morrison? Might have actually given Morrison somebody to get his knockdowns and a chance of some decent service from out wide as opposed to inevitable long punts forward that lead to nowhere as we have noone near him?
Hope there's a miracle but could be a long 45 mins for our fans who stick it out. They deserve better.

Let’s be honest here guys, Ipswich are by far the best team in this division and should win the league. We will get games like this where we get rolled over, no need to panic. Let’s get that striker on board in the next few days and go again.

Commentators comments and stats are pointing towards a reasonably even game, the annoying thing is it's our mistakes and lack of discipline in Whalley's case that sees us 0-2 down.

Other than the first goal Ipswich not really threatened. We've been 2nd best but Laurent drew a stunning save just before half time after a superb move and Morison headed on target from the resultant corner so it's not all been one way. But, I don't think we were going to turn it round with 11, let alone 10.
