Let's move on from the past and focus on today. Fair do's your team continue to battle out there and this game is far from finished. Wouldn't say we're the best in the league as someone put it, it's only a handful of games in and Bolton apart we've never really been that effective. Judge us in May not at this stage of the season.
I'd expect us to see this out but if you can get one back we've seen before nerves set in and we've allowed teams to get a point or even win it. Never won here have you but there's always a first time, just don't think it will be this occasion.

Punch on the nose for first person to wheel out the meaningless 'we go again' platitude.

Yeah a good crowd out there and let's not forget this IS the third league of English Football. 600 fans you've brought over is commendable. Realise it's a bit of a trek from where you've come but can see the attraction the game would present.
Think your team deserves a goal, Holy made some fine saves to keep you out but it's gone a bit stale now from that early start. Holy just made another save, big man to get past but we're comfortable at the moment unless the scoreline changes.

That knob Nolan will probably bag one now just to cap off a terrible day.

Gillingham 4-0 Bolton, not fair this, another free hit !! 5-0 now, but Southend currently a worse side with six defeats from their six games.

Bolton could set a record for goals conceded in a season.

Losing and then an opposition fan trying to be nice because they are happy they have won. Kindly do 1 and let us be miserable. Thanks.

Having no game next Saturday is a looking like a blessing right now. Hopefully Williams and Norburn will both be fit for the Wimbledon game and we'll have at least one new striker at the club.

Suspect one or two who made the trip today will be hoping it'll again be another 30 or so years before we have to make that trip again. All the effort for that...

We had more shots...more shots on target...more corners...our usual 40% possession....you gave it a good go.....just a couple of strikers short of a good team.

Just what what the doctor ordered, a visit from a bunch of kids. It's not right this. The league have this wrong big time.

Payne loves a crucial stoppage time goal at Rotherham. He’s done it again for Tranmere!

It's not right this. The league have this wrong big time. I'm really not sure there is anything they can do about it though. Tranmere similarly, one win from five games that being a 5-0 win against Bolton.

Can they put an embargo on them getting my any more players at least until every team has played them once?

Can they put an embargo on them getting my any more players at least until every team has played them once? In theory yes, but I don't think there is anything in the rules that would allow them to do that.

Can they put an embargo on them getting my any more players at least until every team has played them once? Good idea, but will never happen. Everyone suddenly loves Bolton and Bury now, while some Talk Sport bell end is giving us dogs' abuse on Twitter for daring to have international players, one of whom is - clutches pearls - a teenager.

Hopefully SR has learnt that "working tirelessly for the team" and "putting a good shift in" doesn't score goals, strikers do! I don't mind if we get a player who stands around scratching his nuts for 90% of the time, as long as he scores! Running yourself into the ground and not scoring is bloody pointless!

What a garbage can of a stadium. On arrival they had run out of tea there were only 2 toilets in the ladies and both had flooded half time. There was very little leg room in the stadium but credit to the ipsh**e fans the stadium looked nearly full but our fans as usual loud and superb drowned them out. This Ref as usual is an absolute disgrace. My MOM surprisingly for me was Beckles! He won a lot of balls and headers and his passing was much better and he made an effort ( as they all did) instead of strolling in the park. I thought we played ok some poor passing but fought hard. I’ll leave the technical side to those with the knowledge
No idea where our goals are going to come from as we are as usual lacking in confidence in front of goal.
Got the photo got the programme not sure I’ll be in a hurry to return.?
Onwards and upwards. COYB

Let’s be honest here everyone. Our season is not going to be defined by going to places like Ipswich. It’s a shame and not a great result but again we are exactly where we need to be- comfortably mid table. We still know we need a striker but we aren’t far off a good team for this league. If you’d have told me at the start of the season we would have 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses after last season I’d have bitten your hand off so I can’t grumble.

We've now played seven games and failed to find the back of the net in five of them.
That's a pretty terrible record by anyone's standards.
I'm not convinced the return of Norburn is going to transform us into a free-scoring goal machine, either.
Hopefully we'll have at least one new striker signed up by the time we take on Wimbledon.

General impression I'm getting from social media is that the performance wasn't that bad, we made chances, but couldn't finish them while being naive/unlucky at the other end.
But I'm getting messages from mates who made the trip that we were ****ing awful!

Once again can't fault the work rate. I've seen every game and they've put in shift in in every one of them. But that's just not enough. Not even sure bringing a decent forward would help at the moment; if you can't get the ball to him and create chances then what is the point. We do get in some decent positions at times but the final ball has been woeful. Just seem unable to pick a Town man out...
I thought we were still in with a sniff at two nil. The red card killed the game. What Whalley was thinking I have no idea...daft thing to do.

Awful start. Awful game management after going 1 down early on. At least its calmed down last 5 minutes. Need to keep the ball and get a bit of confidence and then push on. Not over yet but not feeling confident. this is the third game this season that town have conceeded two goals in close proximity. eight minutes later and we conceed a second this is the third game were town have done this, which leaves a mountain to clim somthing rickets will need to work on in training
