We have accepted a bid from Bristol Rovers for Stefan Payne.
Disappointed to see this, he is a goalscorer and we need him.
John-Lewis, Holloway are simply not goalscorers (2 goals in their last 55 appearances) and Okenbarihie is unproven at this level too. Our team has been ripped apart from last year, so demoralising.

Certainly a bold strategy in play here.
Best season in years = change the entire squad
I look forward to see who the replacement is .

Must be one coming in. I don’t count John-Lewis as a viable option

Me too. This is becoming odder and odder. I hope we don't come unstuck if the Ipswich money doesn't come through. No doubt Bristol Rovers will play him in the middle with Rodman on the wing!

Meh. Never him to massively as a player or a person. Will certainly be missed if no replacement but imagine he’s on chunky wages.

This is one player I wasn’t expecting to see leave, I’ll be expecting a very decent replacement to come in if this sale goes ahead.

Change everything and remove every trace of last season/Paul Hurst! What could possibly go wrong........

The Ipswich connection again....
Bristol Rovers sell striker Ellis Harrison to Ipswich for £750k and are now on the look out for a replacement!!

There had better be some stellar signings in the coming days otherwise we are in a right mess ( doing my best not to swear)

Didn’t fit the team on Saturday and he had only a year left - a decent fee and I’m happy.

Always looked lazy to me. Top scorer in a side that supplied him countless chances. 14 is a poor return all things considered.

Not bothered by this at all - as above providing we get one in
Does make it ever more bizarre he played left wing Saturday though

Would only consider selling him if we have a good replacement lined up. As other have said, to have Fey, AAH and LJL as our only three strikers would not be inspiring whatsoever.

Can’t say a bid of 200K for Payne would represent a bad offer.

Can’t say a bid of 200K for Payne would represent a bad offer. Crikey if we get £200k that’s great business for us if he only has 1 year left Would take half that personally

Now I'm baffled. First Bryn, now Payne. Why did we play him on the wing on Saturday? That seems even stranger now.
Not necessarily a bad move if we get a decent fee for a player out of contract next summer BUT there had better be someone good coming in.
It feels like we've lost our bearings at the moment. I hope Askey knows the strategy!

I didn't rate him personally. I hope the deal goes though. Very Juan dimensional player. No pace. If it wasn't for his penalties, his scoring radio would be pants.
I'm expecting our new leader to have a better replacement lined up.
