A few years ago I'd have called him arrogant & showing a distinct lack of loyalty to a club who him in after he was on the scr@pheap, similarly I would have been slating his agent for being so money orienated rather than necessarily what is best for his client. But now I think there's no loyalty in football from anyone (players or clubs) and its a short career so he's doing what he thinks is best for him. Yes people can say that Woods & Goldson have benefitted from stopping and use the example of Mason Springthorpe who left too early but there's also players who stopped and didn't kick on, Tolley & Karl Murray are two examples, Luke Rodgers is probably another one who stopped with us for too long. I know many people have said he's acted unprofessionally but he is any worse than the likes of Collins & Grandison who have hardly covered themselves in glory with us & contracts in recent years yet they are still treated as heros. And whilst the lack of phone call seems unprofessional, would have him saying "Sorry Mickey, I want to go to a bigger club" really made the whole situation more acceptable? I can understand why people aren't happy with him and as I've said I would have been the same years ago, maybe its just acceptance of the way the modern game operates which means I'm no longer surprised and don't get worked up by it. That said, if he plays against us then he will naturally get a lot of abuse from me! Difference between Collins, Grando and him is simple.
Collins and Grando has actually DONE something on the pitch for the club.
He played as many times as three at most.

Oh so it's ok to be disrespectful to YOUR club as long as you do something on the pitch.
Fair enough!

6 figure fee is all that's given away Is there STFC confirmation it is a six figure fee?
I struggle with the point in stating an undisclosed 6 figure fee!
Why state it's undisclosed apart from the fact it's come from the sloppy star, does that mean we got over 200k or 300k or 400k ........thought not?
Might be part of the agreement that the fee isn't to be disclosed. Either or both clubs could have reason to prefer that it not be and when it comes down to it, there's no need for us to know, much as we might want to. I expect Ginnelly will be an ex-Shrewsbury player if he goes on to be a success and somebody who never started a game for us anyway if he doesn't. I hope he succeeds (especially if we have any add ons) because I'm generous and, as Paul says, it reflects well on our youth development and that can only help in recruiting other promising youngsters. We got one over on Villa anyway.

Good luck to him. He'll be on a bit more money and will get a nice signing on-fee, not bad for an 18yr old i'm sure.
At least everyone can now move on i hope!

3 years stuck in a Development Squad. Could be a slow death of ambitions.
