All very well and good but if true it yet again illustrates that the club can’t make a decision without changing it every five minutes.
This continual revolving door is plain ridiculous.

A lot has changed in the last 6 months. Moore was brought in at a time we needed some leadership over a head coach, now we have a manger and decent assistant who know the leagues and recruitment I personally feel he isn’t needed and given the financial position it’s another wage we don’t need to be paying. Decent guy but things have changed

"Hearing rumours we might be about to appoint a Director of Football and it's a face we all know. Unsure how that fits with keep Clarke for next season but I believe he worked with one at Port Vale and Bristol Rovers. Hopefully a bit of positive news on a really low day for the club"

Just as I’d convinced myself it was a good idea. Seemed we are ahead of the game with what must be the earliest retained list ever.
Anyway I’ll await official news of yet another change in direction.

But the club are not changing their decision. If true, this is Cheltenham wanting him back and MM might think he would rather be somewhere he's more appreciated by the fans.

Wouldn't be surprised at all. It would be quite entertaining to see the brand new structure & personnel to safeguard the future of the club disappear in 12 months. In Roland we trust.

I don't agree with the damnation of Moore.
He would have been very restricted this season with a lot of the wage budget used up on player already here. He signed some very impressive loan players that we all expected to do well this season. He a punt of some young unknown players that did not work out but you only has to look at Posh to see how lucrative that strategy can be. He is two transfer windows into a long term plan.
Hurst has come out and stated he has been told he will get final say on all players. Many hands make light work. Moore did well at Cheltenham and its very possible that with two experienced minds in Hurst and Moore we can find some hidden gems in the transfer market.
He deserves more of a chance imo.

Damned if they do Damned if they don't Alternatively those who defend him/the role will say fans need to be patient, give it a chance, you're fickle, etc. And then if he does go then it's not a problem and our illustrious leader shouldn't be questioned for having another change of heart. Of course this is all speculation so it may be business as usual

I'm easy and I don't think it will impact things too much either way, I mean whether he stays or whether he goes. I gather he was very much the senior figure when it came to working with Taylor but I gather that is no longer the case. So when I look to the standard of players recruited this season, hopefully things are set to improve with Hurst now in place anyhow. And in addition to that, I don't see the harm having someone in place to deal with player contracts and the like leaving the manager to get on with things on the training ground.
What might well drive this however, is Moore himself. I mean we tend to question whether a manager is willing to work with a DOF, yet maybe a DOF might not appreciate having his role diminished somewhat.
But like I say, I don't expect his presence at the club to influence things next season as it might have done this.

I hooe you are right if it’s true cause I really don’t think it will reflect well on us being known as a well run club if we keep swopping and changing so often.

Of course this is all speculation so it may be business as usual I say give it a chance because the last time we allowed the manager and CEO to oversee all aspects of the club they almost sunk the ship , where were the "its not working" brigade then ?...asleep in a dream complacency land thats where, only appearing now and then to suggest we spend more money looking around the history of football it seems many clubs only sell up when they become so debt ridden they almost have to be given away after the club teeters on the brink of extinction and disaster, and has dropped like a stone, the administrators come in and debts get written off, local business's all suffer as a result, a new guy eventually comes in , fans breathe a sigh of relief, realise the grass is not always greener on the other side and have to lower their expectations quite a lot I think we are about to enter the rat race of becoming a club in debt , and all the problems that go with it if you can see it , dont worry, I'll remind you when it does

Decent guy but things have changed I’m not sure a lot of that stands up to scrutiny. What’s changed in the last 6 months? Isn’t the current management structure of the playing squad the way forward? The way clubs have to go to survive ? The model that will save the club from financial armageddon (apparently) That’s what we have been force fed by the club and their social media representatives. Has all that bluster now just evaporated? If we had brought in a manager and decent assistant who know the leagues and recruitment in the first place we may not have endured such a miserable season. If Moore goes then all the good, if he stays then his impact will continue to have no effect on the teams performance’s whatsoever because Hurst won’t allow it to.
