oh dear thats upset another another one i take it you did not look ah well. I understand that you don't believe in climate change. A bit weird, but I accept that. Do you think that reducing CO2 emissions, cutting the use of fossil fuels and reducing the amount of other pollutants in the world would be a bad thing? Like what is the worst that could happen? The air gets a bit cleaner, the oceans start to recover. I don't see a downside. Obviously you do. Like I said, weird.

oh dear thats upset another another one i take it you did not look ah well. Peter Ridd. Paid by the farming lobby in Australia to seed doubt in the harm that industrial farming is doing the reef. Some scientists say that smoking isn't bad for you, but they're usually paid for by the tobacco companies.

Credit where credit is due, you certainly are tenacious. Unfortunatly you're also not very good at arguing your case.
So far you have come on this thread mentioning climate change denying scientists and expected others to look them up (learn how to put up links FFS) and then got all defensive when people question their credentials or motives.
First you gave us the barking mad Irish family and then a scientist that is paid for by farming interests in Australia. Are these really the best that you can come up with? You Mention that he recieved 1.2 million Aus. Dollars for unfair dismissal from James Cook Uni., but fail to mention that his biggest media supporter is the Herald Sun, which surprisingly enough is owned by NewsCorp, aka Rupert Murdoch.
I don't find many people, even those in the public eye getting support from Murdoch in unfair dismissal cases. You do have to wonder what NewsCorp has to gain from publicising and supporting this man.

Thank you vincentvega love to be told, any idea what parts/million co2 yet? 413 ppm. Nowhere near the historical highs of the Cambrian Period, but virtually all of the lifeforms in that period lived underwater or below ground. The current rate is the highest since the last Ice Age between 2.6m and 12,000 years ago.
Global annual mean CO2 concentration has increased by more than 45% since the start of the Industrial Revolution, from 280 ppm during the 10,000 years up to the mid-18th century to 415 ppm as of May 2019, but it seems that you're saying that it's not our fault. Who or what is to blame then?

1.2m Aus. Dollars is about £650k in real money, his legal fees will be double that, so hardly a massive payout.
He is a charlatan, just like your Irish family, but as long as they've got someone gullible enough to believe them and give them an audience for their YouTube rants they will keep going.
Any other science you want to argue about or even better get onto religion? That'll be fun. You've got me started now and many will testify that I can be a lot more tenacious than you can.

If the CO2 level is high plants may give better yields, but the nutritional value of the plants is generally reduced accordingly.

Nice one Zen just think of the carbon footprint of all that glass, concreate for the base, carbon being pumped into tunnels from the electric plant all for a few Toms

Nice one Zen just think of the carbon footprint of all that glass, concreate for the base, carbon being pumped into tunnels from the electric plant all for a few Toms Quite simple really. Use recycled glass, hempcrete and solar or wind for power.
Even without these things the carbon footprint of importing tomatoes from Spain would be far more over the long term than the one produced in the building and running of these plants. If you still want to eat fresh fruit and vegetables out of season something has to give. Unless of course you want to go back to only eating food that is in season.
Instead of looking at problems, try looking for solutions.

Nice one Zen just think of the carbon footprint of all that glass, concreate for the base, carbon being pumped into tunnels from the electric plant all for a few Toms i am not sure if you read the link but in answere to your points One of the UK’s largest clean energy funds has revealed plans to invest £120m in a pair of low-carbon greenhouses. using the heat from Anglian Water’s water treatment facilities. The carbon emissions from an on-site electricity plant will also be funnelled into the greenhouses for the plants to absorb carbon. Greencoat Capital, the fund behind the world-first plans, estimates that the greenhouses will produce vegetables with a quarter of the carbon footprint of regular greenhouses. It could also create 360 permanent jobs in the area, and up to 460 at peak season. i dont have the information as to the carbon footprint caused by importing tomatoes from spain / holland and other countries. as neilsalop mentioned there are various material that are now avaiable that reduce hte carbon footprint of construction. the other advanatge of such projects as They will be grown hydroponically from nutrient-rich water solutions instead of using soil is they can be built on brown sites.

As an example the Greencoat UK Wind plc investment trust is operating at a premium of 17% to NAV and has a gearing ratio of 26%. However there is an attractive yield of 4.88%. Perhaps suitable for more sophisticated investors and then still only as a part of a diversified portfolio.

Nice one Neil think you will find even recycled glass has to be reworked needing lots of energy, hempcrete what holds the hemp together do not say Rizlas
