I went to a car boot sale / sunday market at the bescott earlier this year Couldn't help Thinking we are missing a trick here Those that do Sunday morning stuff will know chirk is the place for boot sales , tescos was a great Sunday market , west Mid not bad The meadow could make an all year income if they stepped into this , they have the perfect location and could make some sales of their own too I will bring this up next time I get chance , would Obviously need some dedicated volunteers though I think From memory they did try to get a car boot/market going at some point over the past few years, but they got a third party to run it, it didn't go well and was axed. The club are going to have to stop relying on volunteers at some point though. We're meant to be a professional club, not a non-league side. Doesn't really matter how big you are , if fans want to help , let them

Ultimately its up to the club if they accept that offer. Some CEOS embrace it, some don't and over the years there have been times like you just feel like your seen as a pain. Regardless, all we want is the best for the club.

I hope I am wrong, but the wait for a new manager is starting to concern me a little. Hopefully, good things will happen to those that wait!

Walsall had a great supporters bar with decent food , i.e. chips with everything. Always found the stewards on the door very accommodating. Theres every chance we won’t be playing Wrexham or Walsall next season . The swings and roundabouts of football 😉 I went to a car boot sale / sunday market at the bescott earlier this year Couldn't help Thinking we are missing a trick here Those that do Sunday morning stuff will know chirk is the place for boot sales , tescos was a great Sunday market , west Mid not bad The meadow could make an all year income if they stepped into this , they have the perfect location and could make some sales of their own too I will bring this up next time I get chance , would Obviously need some dedicated volunteers though I think It was launched in May23 likely a victim of Caldwell setting it up but then leaving . Put in the hands of a company that ran them. Edit unsuccessfully Covered here blueandamber.proboards.com/post/1675409

They’d obviously hoped to have ‘good news’ for Monday or at least early in the week. Whatever it was hasn’t materialised in the timescales they’d hoped for. Surely they have to say something otherwise it just makes RW look bonkers 🤪.

Tbh ...can't see ainsworth touching us....we will see tho🤔 So that's why Roland was in jovial mood at Burton. Lord knows how much more money he's going to end up putting into the club before it's sold though. OK, so he gets it back/makes a tidy profit when the sales completed and, with the current dip in the stock market he isn't losing out on investment, but he's taking the risk.
Where now for Paul Hurst? His bright star seems well and truly burnt out at the moment. The sort of club who might give him a job now might not be able to afford Doig/Hurst. Time to split the partnership?

Current dip in the stock market?! Where on Earth are you investing? "Stock market today: Wall Street falls toward worst loss since Election Day as vaccine makers sink". "European shares end lower on US rate, Trump jitters" "Stock prices in London closed lower, while equities in New York opened in the red" "Singapore shares open lower on Friday"

Well yes today the major markets slightly dipped. 52% of days the market goes up, 48% it goes down.
Over the past week, month, quarter and year returns have been phenomenal.
I doubt Roland is rubbing his hands with glee about not having £10M from the sale of the club in his share portfolio over the past few months.

Pains me to say it but I have to agree with the ticket inspector on this. The flat lining of the FTSE 100 since the election certainly isn’t indicative of the performance of the stock market on a global level, and is not something an investor would be concerned about given its YTD gains. I certainly know where I’d rather have had £10m invested over the last few months!

You have to respect the edgelords who pile into the FTSE100 despite it representing <4% of the global market.

Perhaps the thing about having money is it should make life better. Judging by RW's joy about good news soon last week he's getting good value out of his investment in STFC, he might get the investment back, he might make money, but there's fun and fulfillment while the money's invested.
Perhaps the key is diversification, how many of the big stars lose the fortune on some wild investment. Some in your passion, some in diversified worldwide investments and, yes, some under your mattress (or at least an instant access account) just in case.
