I’ve been wanting to throw this out there for a couple of weeks, but I would very much like to see Dave Edwards and Elliot Bennett appointed.
Both know the club, understand the fan base and must have a wealth of contacts up the pyramid.
It’s time for a dynamic punt like this for me.
If it fails then so what we are on the way down at this point anyway, but these two might just be able to bring some hope to the fan base.

Think Bennett is probably a better shout than Edwards
Dave Edwards seems very happy on his role with a few business ventures and co commentary on Sky, and I don’t think has ever showed much interest in coaching or management
Bennett’s recent experience at the club might be useful in the immediate future and you get the sense he knows the game well too.
Another ex player that might meet the coaching role is Ian Sharps who I think is in charge of Wolves academy sides now - so experience in the role of developing younger players

Awful shout… we are in a dog fight & need somebody who has experience as a manager as a priority. I’d personally aim as high as we can allow budget wise, short term deal till the end of the year with good bonus & potential contract. Would also suit own owners to assess at end of the season how they go forward

If there are buyers close to a deal they will have big eyes on his next move and the reaction of the fan base. If the deal is close then the appointment of Moore will indicate this to all those watching as RW may well just look at a caretaker until the new owners are in place so they can make there own choice. If it is Moore it will not be a popular choice with his record as DoF and many will see that as a cop out by RW further damaging the legacy he reminds us of so readily.

For me it needs to be someone with league 1 nous and used to working with tight budgets and dare I say it, someone of Cotterill’s ilk who made an immediate impact.
On paper, this season would be a free hit as expectations are quite low so it’s a relatively attractive option for an out of work manager.
The downside is the complications of working with MM and DOF so getting that experienced manager who will work in this set up, might be difficult mid season.

Bennett is very knowledgeable about the game if his commentary is anything to go by. Worth a punt till end of the season. Knows the players, goodwill with the fans and he could even sign himself!

Has to be an interim appointment. If we really are going to be sold, nothing else makes sense, unless the buyer’s daft enough to approve Wycherley choosing - or the sale’s still a long way off.

Is it a possibility that the deal for the club is all but done and the prospective new owner/s are insisting on their choice of manager, plus if R W would have stood down who runs the club.

Unless the take over is closer than expected I’d imagine this would be an interim appointment.

Takeover probably end of season, so there's time to go thru two or three managers before that. 😅😊

After the chairman’s statement (along with it being common knowledge) about the impending sale of the club, trying to get a seasoned permanent manager in is pretty unlikely. Ideally someone with a bit of experience in this league to steady the ship but someone like Brian barry Murphy or Leam Richardson would be a decent punt but could also be a manager looking to get back into work like Joey Barton (again unlikely, I hope) or Lee Johnson. There’s also the DoF model that not everyone likes. Either way, I think the change had to be made.

Roy Keane was watching in his role at Salford on Saturday. I wonder if Roland gave him a quick heads up! 😉
A few available managers:
Liam Richardson Stephen Schamacher Mark Kennedy Dino Maamria Gareth Ainsworth Brian Barry-Murphy Jimmy Flloyd Hasselbaink Gary Rowett Paul Simpson Ryan Lowe Dean Holden
Likelihood is it’ll be none of those!!
