Hurst report was more critical of the team, especially the disappointing ineffective 2nd half. Fans are disappointed because the teams got a 16% win ratio since Hurst arrived. With Burton being a ‘must win’ game what should happen if we don’t? if we dont beat Burton we can all go on about how fantastically run their club is and what could have been This isn’t just a defeat in the cup to lower league opposition (just) it’s another defeat in a year when we’ve managed 6 wins 9 draws and 22 defeats. Fans are asking what the club plan to do about it understandably….sleepwalking into relegation wasn’t the plan when the club attracted record Season Ticket sales . We had 16 wins in our relegation season under Ratcliffe, with 8 wins before round 1 of the FA Cup. If we win every game between now and the end of the year well equal the record Ratcliffe achieved. Just read there you go he’s gone, seem the club agree with the fans 😂. ( haven’t read the context yet)

Sorry but that's simply not true. Some of our football this season has been up there with the best I have seen from a town team. If it wasn't for some p**s poor finishing and terrible mistakes at the back we would be well up the table. We have gone toe to toe with some decent teams and creates several great chances each games. Performances have tailored off in the last couple of games now heads are starting to drop but to suggest we are that useless is wrong imo. Midfielders/wingers have not been the issue this season, its what has happened in front and behind them! Yeah when you put it like that it not so bad, if we could defend or score goals then we would higher up the league. You are twisting my words. I was commenting on our build up play which was what was being slated.

I’ve never said cup games don’t count, think’ your confusing me with someone who’s called for managers to be sacked.

I’ve never said cup games don’t count, think’ you're confusing me with someone who’s called for managers to be sacked. what I mean is, despite poor league form we once had a manager who used to win cup games those wins always got ignored in stats, its the cup, they dont count, the league is our bread and butter they used to say lol as I said I'm surprised hurst went today, I did think next week a defeat would have been the end, or maybe the turning point, and bumped into a couple of town fans on the train back last night and they we a lot more positive of hurst than most, and convinced next saturday was the turning point, I wasnt so sure and said I just hope they dont have a new manager in place before I get my hopes up, I cant remember their names but they were fine well spoken chaps and talked a lot of sense anyway, another new chapter starts in the history of STFC

Mr Wycherley's past achievements are not denied, but to Oliver Cromwell "you have been in this place too long - in the name of God, I bid you be gone" or words to that effect. I thought that was David Davis 😉 It was, but he alluded to a speech given by Leo Amery in the House many years ago, which in turn referenced the original Oliver Cromwell comment from the 17th century. The full version is particularly apt here, as it does recognise the good which the Parliamemtarians had done in their time, which we "revolutionaries" must also recognise with Mr Wycherley.

Just to rub salt in the wounds, I've just heard one of Salford's players - Marshall Hayes - was 15.
