Myself, I am hook line and blood law enforcement. However, in second place I’m also a keen Salop fan.

Result is everything. That was great and hopefully we can put together a run now.
Performance was worse than some of the games we have lost. Josh Feeney was really not as good as usual, generally we stood off too much, Bloxham did absolutely nothing when he came on (compared to Sagoe who really got into the game). They were poor - goal kicks and throw ins worse than ours.
Bottom line - fantastic win; we need a bit of luck to go our way for a change and that sending off was it in this game.

I would be the first to say well done town onwards and upwards ……. But sorry to be a realist. We were awful until they got a player sent off. Every time they went on the offensive it looked like a goal against our sive of a defense. Had we have played a reasonable side today they would have had a hatful. When they had the ball we ran around like headless chickens. We gave them time on the ball and couldn’t legally win any tackles. Going forward passes were literally a case of play it forward and hope someone gets onto it. Hurst needs to find a good defensive formation or we are doomed. Anyone that says well done town are in cuckoo land There are so many things wrong with the team it beggars belief. nothing more to be said. You seem angry that we’ve won, probably because it’s made your earlier thread postings look ridiculous. Get a grip man. Its so funny seeing the blatantly obvious resentment in some after a win like today , the criticism just flows off the tongue when things are not going well and then all of a sudden town get in front and the bitterness shows through , it's hard to prove , always met with firm opposition but boy is it there and I don't mind saying so

That's interesting, Sometimes you can play badly and win, sometimes play well and lose, I hope the travelling few hundred had a great day out and got the game they deserved, big respect to all of them for going so far. I'd take playing badly and winning 5-3 every week by the way.

My favourite part of today was straight after sending off keeper sat down so they could do a team talk..... we scored 2 goals
He then sits down again for further team talk.... we score two goals🤣🤣🤣🤣

Whilst we have been dire this season,we also have had absolutely no luck either, with some dreadful decisions by refs. So today despite looking ropey in defence, we did get some luck plus some good goals. Pleased for both forwards to get on the score sheet.

What’s the TOR situation? (Apart from the fact that he isn’t starting and didn’t come on today.) Have I missed a club statement? Well he’s been completely dropped. Seemingly last choice to come off the bench now when we need to change a game. And it’s nothing to do with Castledine, as Castledine was playing as a ten, and TOR at RW. Pretty sure PH made some comments about not tolerating “sulking” one week. Reading between the lines, I assume that was in reference to TOR. He certainly isn’t warming the bench due to a lack of ability. Hurst did make a reference to not tolerating players who sulked, he did not make any reference to who he was talking about. A bit later in another interview he mentioned O'Reilly not making an impact as a sub. The last I heard was O'Reilly was injured with a groin strain which sometimes can take a long time to heal. Personally I hope he soon returns as he is a live wire.

Not a fan of Hurst and didn't want him back, but it is good to see the team trying to play passing attacking football.
I also thought the commentator was awful. She only knew the name of about 3 players and added nothing to the game

You have to enjoy the wins however they come. Many times this season we have lost when we deserved something and played a lot better than today.

Reading between the lines of Hurst post match interview suggests to me TOR is firmly on the naughty step and doesn't look like moving any time soon.

We score five goals away from home and still some people are not happy.
This was a big win against a teami in the mire with us.
I am sure Mr Ian will give us a balanced view in his report.
Very important we follow up with 3 points against Exeter on Thursday night

Saw the goals back again, what a game. Toto did well at the back post for goals 2 and 4, the highest mountain in Shropshire!

Maybe Pilch could lock more match threads when we’re losing, perhaps that’s the trick we’ve always needed 😉 I didnt lock the thread , as I could still post on it I hadn't noticed until I got a pm, I presumed you for one had gone off in a sulk when we took the lead

The Away Terrace was a lot of fun this afternoon 😊. Entertaining drama on a football pitch, 8 goals, 4 of our 5 scored right in front of us, all the on-pitch/off-pitch incidents you could want and most of all three points 🤗.

A very welcome 3 points in a a game it was important not to lose, yes the defence needs to tighten up but I didn’t see 5 goals home or away coming this season so well done Town.
Sets us up nicely to try and get 3 points on Thursday and out of the relegation zone .

Someone has said the moaners havnt got anything to moan about. Whoever that is get a grip. You havnt watched the same match. Had there have been an extra ten they would have scored again through our rubbish defence. Hurst doesn’t know how to defend. We were very lucky today and it does not bode well for the future. I thought the first half was even, we edged ahead and scored, they levelled and got on top, we came back towards half time, 1-1 fair score, second half was all us, and then they went down to 10, still us, they scored totally against the run of play, we stepped it up and battered them from there on I know, I watched it

Reading between the lines of Hurst post match interview suggests to me TOR is firmly on the naughty step and doesn't look like moving any time soon. if this is true, then it is beyond stupid. he is a player who has pace and a few tricks and causes defences a real headache. no matter what issue the manager may or may not have with him, he is a player who can have a real impact on a game.

I thought town scored some good goals today, it will give booth forwards a boost to get two goals each, lloyds first came from his tenacity, marquis showed his experience when he took his penalty. I'm not a fan of Nsiala but he showed some determination to get the header.
unfortunately we gifted them the second, were was the left back leaving a player completely unmarked to have a free header!

Maybe I’ve missed somebody else asking but does anyone know last time we scored 5 goals away from home? Something in back of my mind says Lincoln and Lionel Ainsworth hat trick, so early 2010’s Is that last time? Am I missing somewhere else sooner?

We beat Northampton Town 2-7 later the same year (following season)…. If your counting all away games how about Stratford in the cup 2021 1-5!

Reading between the lines of Hurst post match interview suggests to me TOR is firmly on the naughty step and doesn't look like moving any time soon. TOR came on for 15minutes against Birmingham so was given his chance like any other sub. He looked a talented player who is out of form and maybe trying too hard. His frustration was there for all to see when he lost the ball and ran twenty yards to needlessly bring his man down from behind with the ball barely in the same parish. Clearest yellow card you'll see all season. I suspect this won't have helped his cause with Hurst.

Reading between the lines of Hurst post match interview suggests to me TOR is firmly on the naughty step and doesn't look like moving any time soon. It will be interesting to see how Hurst handles this situation moving forward. If this is allowed to continue developing, then come January we could be particularly light in terms of attacking threat from Midfield. Leo could well be back down the Kings Road searching for a team with brighter prospects further up the pyramid to showcase his talents and TOR could either be back at Villa with a massive Salop/Hurst chip on his shoulder or a completely un-match fit squad player who Hurst will need to turn to in a hope to feed a pretty infertile forward line. It isn’t the sort of situation we had to see Hurst cope with in his first spell as he had a pretty harmonious, winning squad who despite not being rotated too often was well marshalled by the senior players an back room staff.

I thought that the sulking comment may have been thrown at Marquis who did look like he was sulking when on the bench recently.
I could be wrong though.
