The defence and Hurst's continuingly baffling inability to make subs when they're needed are both big concerns, and it feels like we'd have been punished against a team who looked poor with 11 and atrocious with 11, the fact we still managed to concede three is a worry.
However, for us to have any chance of staying up this season we've got to pick up wins against the other teams who look like they're as bad as us, and for the second time this season we've done that, even it was in fairly ludicrous circumstances. Credit to Marquis and Lloyd for showing a cutting edge and playing well generally, Rossiter looks like a good addition to the midfield if he can stay fit and Nsiala looks stronger in a back three.
Five points and just the one defeat from the last four games with a more favourable looking run of games between now and the end of the year, if you want to put a positive spin on things. Still a lot of work to do, but some signs that we may just about be able to claw our way to safety.

Shame about the TOR situation. Something must have really gone wrong behind the scenes. Agreed, it certainly isn't down to his performances on the pitch. He was unstoppable at the start of the season. You don't go from that to 6th choice sub without it being personal. I'm not sure if it's that, since Castledine has arrived Hurst has favoured him over TOR.

I must say that the referee is sporting a superb lid. You reckon? Looks to me like he was released from Pentonville yesterday!

Yes ,well done Town. I’m hoping this win and 5 goals will give Town the confidence to go on a bit of a winning streak . Lloyd and Marquis will be looking forward to the next game to add to their tally hopefully . The 3 goals against is a bit of a bugger and I hope Hurst sorts out our defence . I’ve always been confident that we will gradually improve and escape relegation and I see no reason to change my mind .

There was lots of shocking football and clearly we’ve been helped along the way to todays win but if you can’t forget that for now and just enjoy scoring 5 away from home en route to 3 points, you’ll never enjoy anything.
We can refer back to ‘the signs were there’ when normal service is resumed on Thursday.
Big win. COYB.

Surprise, surprise we win and the moaning minnies disappear back into the woodwork. 100% agree , this result has ruined their weekend , I must admit when the thread was accidentally locked it was around the time we scored 2 quick goals to go 3-2 up , I was raging at the silence and was about to post when I got a Pm alerting me to the thread lock , quite funny in hindsight and wow what a day to be a Town supporters , have some faith and it will come

Fantastic win. Marquis on fire. Rossiter superb in midfield. Now looking forward to the Exeter game with a bit more enthusiasm.

Have I missed a club statement? Well he’s been completely dropped. Seemingly last choice to come off the bench now when we need to change a game. And it’s nothing to do with Castledine, as Castledine was playing as a ten, and TOR at RW. Pretty sure PH made some comments about not tolerating “sulking” one week. Reading between the lines, I assume that was in reference to TOR. He certainly isn’t warming the bench due to a lack of ability.

Great win, had to turn off at half time and must admit I wasn’t expecting to see that full time result when checking! I’ll keep my thoughts on the first half to myself in the interests of positivity.

Not Winchester who took his place on the bench well, although it would be hard to see him get in the team now.

Always like the early rounds of the cups and a chance to visit the odd ground we haven’t been to in a while. Here’s hoping this goalscoring form carries over into the league.

I would be the first to say well done town onwards and upwards ……. But sorry to be a realist. We were awful until they got a player sent off. Every time they went on the offensive it looked like a goal against our sive of a defense. Had we have played a reasonable side today they would have had a hatful. When they had the ball we ran around like headless chickens. We gave them time on the ball and couldn’t legally win any tackles. Going forward passes were literally a case of play it forward and hope someone gets onto it. Hurst needs to find a good defensive formation or we are doomed. Anyone that says well done town are in cuckoo land There are so many things wrong with the team it beggars belief. nothing more to be said.

Yes but I would like to hope that this is the break that Town need to go on and push forward, that's the difference surely?

So much better having 2 upfront. Marquis and Lloyd could have a good partnership forming.

Excellent result.
If the woodwork had been kinder it could have been seven.
Bring on Exeter….

As usual, I can't comment about what happened the pitch in detail, but not being allowed to say "well done" after a rare away win, scoring five goals, is absurd; of course there are many things wrong, but at least try and enjoy the moment!

Yes we conceded three but their last took a massive deflection. Crawley looked half decent going forward at pace, their no14 was best player on pitch but thankfully they substituted him. Thought our pressing in second half was really good, even before the sending off. In addition to the five goals, Marquis hit the post, as did Feeney. I’ve never seen us score 5 away in over 50 years of travel, so I’m a happy bunny tonight.

Town haven't got the breaks in the majority of the games this season. When Marquis hit the post in the second half I thought it would happen again but fortunately not so.

In reply to a post just now, I am not a half empty glass. I am salop hook line and blood. I have supported salop since 1961 and have seen the highs and lows. I say it as it is. My dad paid 3 shillings and sixpence for me to watch salop so since then my heart is with salop. All I am saying here is sort the defence out and put a holding midfield player in front who knows what they are doing….ie coaching. The rest should be easier to accomplish. I want salop up the table looking down on the rest. By saying I’m a moaner and if you like don’t give a s**t then think on.
