Teams in, only 1 change I think - Nsiala in for J Feeney who drops out of squad. Along with Young and OReilly. Surprised on all counts really!
So no keeper on bench. Fingers crossed we don't have a similar situation to Barrow!

No Josh Feeney either
Perhaps Marquis is the spare keeper :0

Feels like a devastating blow losing feeney and having to bring Nsiala back in.
I'll definitely take a point, at least they concede just as much as us.
0-0 then.

Loans looked to be hugely important to make the squad look better but 3 of them don't even make the squad today.
Rossiter back in the squad as a small piece of good news

O'Reilly and Josh Feeney must be the fresh injuries to not even get on the bench. Good to see Rossiter back. I think this will be a game for Nsiala's physicality. Horses for courses.

You can see how you up for it Benning is. Wanted that early free kick and attacking like a winger!

Great start by town, terrible defending gifting us a goal. About time we had some luck.

Shrewsbury march through Mansfield's defence in a match that might be the making of us.

Most enjoyable 15 mins I've seen of any game this season. Good pressing and aggression all over the pitch. Ojo and the full backs especially. Won't keep this up I'm sure but great to see

What a start, what a player Castledine is.

Ref 100% homer , dishing out unnecessary yellows

Nsiala really taking one for the team there just as Caseldine picks up a really stupid yellow for standing in front of the free kick taker.
A good performance though and a really enjoyable match so far.

Perfect first 30 minutes. Should have scored a few more. Started to sit back more over the last 10 minutes which is a concern. Proper Hurst performance this.

Midfield 2 solid. We are using the ball well too & keeping the ball very well.
Front 3 all looking sharp and defense holding up ok

Absolutely take 1-0, and the performance for half 25 mins or so a huge bonus.
But concerns that despite that relative dominance they could only score from a fairly large Mansfield error, and didn't really create any genuine chances.
Also that town have had 3 yellows and Savin down briefly with no keeper on the bench.
That said, mostly a really good half. Intensity right up there and working strongly as a unit. Ojo and Gilliead have started all 3 games together since signing and you can see why, both huge workers.
Crossing needs to improve a bit, but also a shout out for improved set pieces. Ojo and Benning good delivery I thought.
Did I hear Stuart Dunn say that it was a choice not to name Young on the bench? Seems a huge risk to me.
And J Feeney misses out due to a Hamstring issue. Same muscle that kept him out when he joined, which surely is a concern, as Nsiala has been the weak point again today for me

Need to keep it tight start of the second half. Mansfield will undoubtedly come out looking to step up a gear.

Same muscle that kept him out when he joined, which surely is a concern, as Nsiala has been the weak point again today for me Castledine also had a free header 6 yards out but did the harder thing of putting the header off target. If it wasn't for one of the best last defender tackles Ojo (I think) would have been through. Couple of decent crosses that deserved a better finish. Few half decent shots from distance well dealt with by their keeper. Like last week we have made some decent chances and should be a lot more comfortable at half time. We just need to make sure we don't sit deep. Winning the midfield battle and stopping Mansfield getting into our final 3rd was the reason we were so dominate. If we invite them forward they look like they have the quality up top to punish our unconfident defence.

Anyone that thinks Nsiala is better than Pierre needs their head checking.

Absolutely no need to go ground there, awful defending, goal and now Mansfield on top.

Such a disappointing time to concede, but mostly disappointing as there was absolutely no need to Nsiala to dive in, but if you do you've got to get it absolutely spot on, and his trailing leg clearly made significant contact with the Mansfield player. Hoping we don't pay the price for not scoring more when we were on top.

Rather Pierre than Nsiala. Absolute liability.
