Oh dear, oh dear. If you’re older than 14, I feel embarrassed for you. Thats kind of you but you have much more important issues to feel embarrassed about. Have you seen the absolute state of your football club? You can't even fill the subs bench. You've got your priorities all wrong The state of OUR football club?? Can I remind you of the absolute state of YOUR football club for almost a generation. You are lucky, like really lucky they were still alive for the yanks to even come across in their random search for a football club.

Got to laugh at the pure jealousy on this thread. It cannot be hidden. Still not got over us hitting the jackpot have you lads? Cry some more.... Can't even fill the bench? Pathetic. Are you all travelling by horse and a cart made from turnips or are you tractor sharing on Saturday? By all means take the p**s out of our football club, after your years in non league and us p**sing ourselves at your attempts to get back in, it's payback time and sadly (for us), it's payback on steroids as we are heading in complete opposite directions. But I still chuckle at Wrexham fans and this farmers/wurzels stuff. I can understand that when you play a club from a big city or built up area, to them we are a little backwater town in the sticks. But seeing it coming from a little town (sorry, city) in North Wales, very entertaining.

Fully expecting next Saturday to be an awful day for anyone associated with the famous blue and amber, they just have much better players than us, and are a team playing with confidence. If we can keep it tight we might be able to sneak a point or even better, so I remain hopeful, but god it’s depressing to have such little faith against a team we’ve spent the last 15 years laughing at. The reality is they have had a major change in fortunes , due to there owners they have a significant profile in the USA and attract media attention, whil i am pleased for them, what fan whould not want. to have there owners and the spending Power to strengthen the squad in the way they have. Saying that I don't know if they pay Google a fee but Wrexham come up every time, I don't open the links also anyone would think they are the only club in league one we have won one game the changes that were made did improve things .The manager deserves credit for that and the chairman for making the funds available to bring in the badly needed players. but we played against a team who did not press very hard and players had time on the ball, that will not be the case against Wrexham. Hoole and Benning will need some back up to cope with Wrexham's wingers. I hope we start with the line up we had against Orient. I expect town to lose it is just a matter of by how much. I hope we avoided been humiliated and thrashed. Town 0 - 3 Wrexham

Don’t think Nurse is even an option at CB to be honest. He’s a left back, I doubt he’s ever played in a centre back pairing in his life. Plus he’s been injured for two years. Looked really rusty in his cameo against Bolton, which is obviously understandable. Nsiala did ok on Saturday anyway. Certainly didn’t look a liability. He did in pre season and think he did before he came to town. But yeah he's primarily a Left Back. To expect him to start in a huge league game in his non natural position, after 2 years out is just unfair I think. I suspect there is a lot of mental work for him too to not have the trepidation of walking back onto the pitch. His 2 times on the pitch so far has been when the game was over right at the end of the match. I reckon that will continue for a fair bit and next step is coming on for a bit longer in a game that isn't over. 1-0 down 20 mins to go sort of thing. Will be interesting though, as he is on the bench that if town CB gets sent off or injured early on - what happens. Is he ready for first team football? Ojo has played centre back I believe and other players can if needed cover full backs (Gilliead, Winchester, Shipley), so although it's a very thin squad for Saturday, I would be amazed it Nurse plays an important part I agree with about Nurse he needs to be gradually reintroduced

looking forward to the jovialities regarding this match this week.
Great result for you against Orient, and if its any added bonus it was one of a couple of legs that ruined my accumulator on the weekend

I'm a Wrexham fan but I won't be mocking or trying to humiliate on here just prospective. I've lived in Wrexham for years but my mum's sisters all married into Shrewsbury stock and had families there this was pre 2nd world war I have cousins and some relatives I've never met but they have the same blood as me in their veins yes Welsh blood. My Aunty used to live in Bicton and my Uncle had something to to do with a quarry Rogers think it's long gone now. Anyway onto the game I'm a season ticket holder and been through the highs of the 70/80s playing in Europe with the best side we ever had and the dire 15 years national league I remember a derby in that god awful league but fortunately you only had one season if I'm correct, the team today is on its way but still way short of where it wants to be the team is very workmanlike tough tackling and gives nothing away playing with wingbacks that break at speed with forwards piling into the box lots of crosses and attack every ball press high up the field to try and negate playing out from the back. I remember many games at the old meadow stop in town and have a sleepover you will have to be on your A game Saturday because the pressure on you will be intense if you get through first 25 mins without conceding then you may have a chance but it's going to be very difficult I promise. Whatever the result my heart is red through and through but I still look at them Shrews results on a Saturday to see wether my relatives are crying or enjoying a pint see you Saturday and try and enjoy the day.

They will pay for some things in the same way town do but the reason Wrexham have traffic is because of the huge interest that has been garnered from the US (and worldwide) Just as an example - Wrexham have 1.4m Instagram followers. Town have 64k. It's fairly similar on TikTok. 1.6m followers. They have more interest that several premier league sides and obviously vastly outweighs their actual achievements but most people don't really care about that

I can't decide whether I want us to absolutely stuff you with a cricket score or for it be a tight game and then in the dying minutes Sir Paul Mullin dives, wins us a penalty which McClean takes and scores. I'd also happily take a defeat on Saturday as long as you still get relegated. A defeat for us whilst surprising would not be anything to get worried about. As the world knows the direction we're heading in. You're kind of in a no win situation as whatever happens you're still getting left behind in every single aspect. That must be hard to accept.

I know getting into arguments about worst accents is real schoolboy stuff but again coming from a Wrexham fan, that is hilarious. Welsh with a scouse influence, very grating. As for the rest of the post, I've long accepted we are heading in different directions so it's not hard at all. I'm old enough to know that football goes in cycles, you laughed at us when we got relegated to non league, we laughed when you got relegated to non league (and stayed there for a while), you laugh at us because the different directions of the clubs are heading, we will laugh again at you at some point in the future. That certainly is not going to be any time soon but it will happen, in the meantime we will just have to take the p**staking Although the other thing I find funny is for years we've heard that you don't care about us, we aren't your rivals, it isn't a derby, we are obsessed with you whilst you only care about Chester. But here you are, you and your fellow fans talking about how much you are looking forward to playing and beating the wurzels. A funny old world

Somebody from Wrexham attempting to insult somebody for being from Shrewsbury is a bit like a bloke driving a Ford Focus sat at the traffic lights and mocking a bloke sat next to him driving a Lamborghini 😂

As somone else mentioned football comes in cycles, look at Manchester city , we are struggling and stagnating and Wrexham are having an amazing time. I don't dislike Wrexham and I wish them all the best.

Shrewsbury win back to back promotions and you gain 3-4,000 new fans, as well as lots more kids wearing the shirt. Slide down the leagues and those 3-4,000 disappear. What’s happening at Wrexham is no different to what would happen anywhere else.

Rule number 1 about posting on a rivals forums is be a little tactful and discerning. Dont be a Billy Big Bollux else you will find a large number of other posters are likely to gang up on you. It's fairly unlikely you wont win on Saturday but if you only draw or get beat do expect a huge * take heading your way (and Noto's too) I'd guess.

Wrexham won't go up. They'll come close but there's at least six bigger/more equipped sides than them.
I hope they get to the playoff final and lose. And for all their riches and razamataz, they'll have literally spent millions of pounds to achieve what we did only several years earlier.
They'll beat us Saturday but what a hateful bunch they are. The only club where rats like Paul Mullin are celebrated and someone like James McClean can be made captain. Money can't buy class it seems.

My horse and cart is unavailable Saturday and my Dad’s tractor is needed to harvest the turnips so I’m getting the train. Are they likely to put on anymore carriages or is it just going to be a free for all? In the good old days they’d have a ‘football special’, I’m assuming those days are long gone?
Where’s best for a pint?

I'd rather have Leo Castledine in the ranks than Mullin or McClean any day.
