That must have been some half time team talk given by PH after that abysmal 1st Half.

Well done Town. Awful first half, but showed some fight in the second half. Question to those watching on Sky Sports + did you get any glitching at all? Towards the end of the game it was pretty poor.

The comeback kids! Should be a huge confidence boost. Is everyone ok with Hurst staying a little longer?

Unnecessarily heart-straining cup thriller!
Will certainly take that. But what to do about the defence?

I hope the boo boys enjoy there humble pie. 2 poor mistakes first half but we always looked a threat. That win will do wonders for the confidence of the squad. Bring on Posh!

I hope all the dismal jimmies posting negative comments earlier in this thread , now realise that football is played over ninety minutes plus and not just 45 minutes,
The comments are just ridiculous.. I hope the posters are re-reading them now.

Im a bit late to the show tonight. The first couple of pages have some comments that havnt aged well at all 🤣🤣
Let's have a decent home tie that brings in a good crowd. Wrexham would be a good shout .....😉

Thank god for that. Some goals, some much better play. But probably most important some confidence, togetherness and players that look like they want to play. Let's hope that second half is what we see a lot more of!

It’s long been said on here that people don’t mind flawed football as long as they turn up and are entertained. That was throughly value for my £10, even if the defending will give me another sleepless night tonight.
Good character shown to bounce back in that second half, much better to see the crowd help spur the team on rather than berate the appalling first half, still none the wiser about how good we are this season and what we can expect moving on.

Boo boys go home. Pathetic. I think if the boo boys went home there would only be about 200 fans left, which is what you’ll have watching Shrewsbury in league two based on the past ten years. were did you go ? must have gone home

I won’t be mocking or castigating anybody for saying how that first half was… absolutely and utterly atrocious first half, deservedly booed off, these new lads cannot think that is acceptable. The goalkeeper Savin, and the defence especially were an absolute shambles
2nd half - fair play we showed some fight, some desire, some more attacking play. I do think Notts threw that away though, they had a comfortable spell in the 5 mins before we made it 2-1. Their keeper was even worse than ours, and don’t forget this is a League 2 side who conceeded 80-90 goals last season…
Glad we won. On to round 2. Hopefully some confidence gained for the weekend
It’s going to be a long hard season, but we knew that as long as the club is under this ownership

Elsewhere tonight Blackpool won 4-0 at Burton with Pennington scoring 2 of them.
Dan Udoh scores Wycombes first inside 10 minutes.
And Stockport lose 6-1 at home to Blackburn. Blackburn even score Stockports goal for them too.
Edit - just seen the Telford result. Lost 5-1 at home, keeper must have back ache picking the ball out of the net that often

Proof that a game of football isn't finished until full time. I don't think I have and would ever boo to be honest. Will always try and support the team and the manager even if we play terrible.
Great win for us today and hope it gives us confidence for Saturday which is my first game back
