So Olympic competitions start today.
Don't think football should be in the Olympics but it is hilarious seeing Uzbekistan winding the Spanish up at the moment. Spain scored with only real chance. Uzbekistan deserve to be level but only thanks to a rubbish VAR decision

Be good to know what Shropshire folk are participating in these games.
Penny Healey is a favourite for the women’s archery. Hails from Newport.
Any others?

Spain really lucky today. Scored with 2 of their 3 real chances. Uzbekistan could have equalised in added time.
Sounds a mess in St Etienne with Argentina coming back from two down with an equaliser in the 116th minute. Morocco fans threw cups and flares. Stadium cleared and likely to come back and play last 3 minutes.

Oliver Morgan is from Bishop's Castle and I think has medal chances in the swimming. Sports centre in the town is showing his events www.teamgb.com/athlete/oliver-morgan/6EtsqBZbvHlgJDa8a03YlqI really like watching the archery its really impressive how accurate the top archers are, hitting a tiny target from 70 minures is amazing. Had a go at Stretton archers a few years ago and could hardly hit the target 10 metres away

Hard to believe the French saw our Diamond Jubilee washout on the Thames and decided it would make a good part of the Olympics opening ceremony...

Basil Mulhouse airport? That doesn't sound very French. Lady Gaga, is she French then?
At least our London 2012 opening was a celebration of Great Britain.
