It is a pity we could not have had him in some coaching capacity as he seemed a positive influence.

Leaving signings so late is less than ideal, we end up with some players not fully fit, we start the season with a few players joining the team who don't have the pre season training to gell all of which takes time to get on players wavelength and we then seem to start the season on the back foot playing catch up.

I had a quick look on the transfer market site, Burton have signed 14 players with a market value of nearly £3 million.
I have no idea how accurate this site is but if it's true, it's a clear indicator of there intent for the season.

He isn’t coming back here. I have it on good authority he’s training with Wrexham for some tournament and then will be joining Telford as player coach Bennet is playing for Wrexham in the TST seven aside tornouments in north Carolina with a million dollar prize money He's not "playing" he "played" in the tournament.It was about a month ago |

One for Swan about the "lid" on this kid. Is that a bird's nest on his bonce ? A very welcome addition anyway, welcome to the best club in league 1. Like his Wiki biography that says he was likened to Phil Foden in the Villa youth set up I'd guess he comes into the " development" type of player Micky Moore referenced in his recent update. Looks to be a talented creative player, but lost a lot of last season to injury and at 20 never had a run of games in a competative league. Could be a great addition but maybe one to take time to get used to league one style and physicality |

Interestingly Jai Rowe is still a free agent, would've thought it was a no brainer, out of contract, good age, plays RB of which we currently have 0 natural players there, had a good season last year...

But don't think they will all be here by start of the season. Maybe another 2-3 by then. Id probably expect Keeper Right back Another defender of some sort Central midfielder 3 more attacking options (one attacking mid/winger) and 2 forwards But that is also dependant on keeping the current players. Wouldn't be that surprised to see Shipley or Perry move on |

Wouldn't be that surprised to see Shipley or Perry move on Hard to say but I'd go with 1 Additional GK 2 Defenders, a dedicated right back (Could be Jai Rowe) and a right sided cover, Nurse and Pierre are coming back from big injuries but I don't think the budget will stretch to many more here. More difficult with the attacking options but I'd say 1 more central midfielder at least - Will Shipley be moved into the centre, is O'Reilly the Starting XI no.10 a la Nolan? 2 Wide/Wingers - Would like to see genuine fast wingers, but will see there, Lloyd may well already be one of them. 1/2 Forwards, Udoh needs replacing as did Bowman but Bloxham and Lloyd may be preferred there in the future. I'd hope for another 8/9 in with an already squad of 13 - so it should be up to 21/22 but Roland's wallet might not go that far. |

I don't think I've ever known the start of a season feel so flat. I can't summon up any enthusiasm at all. Because everyone around us seems to be making strides forward and we’ve gone backwards. Been told we have no money and will have to go about this season on a shoe string budget, the league looks ALOT stronger than last season too. Oh and watching Burton announce signing after signing since their takeover hasn’t helped people. I’d love nothing more than for Hurst & Moore to keep us up this season allowing another 12 months to hopefully get the club sold - but it just looks such a huge task right now |

Me.....always optimistic at start of pre season/season..... especially with decent manager in charge.....let's see how we go.....judge when you see the new players play!
