It could well be, didn't Hurst drop a comment about defensive cover.
Is he quick and can play right sided?
I don't think buying out his contract would be massive. - If true likely a 'lower' league one club and of course links to Hurst.
Could be this guy and not the 5th loan (Although the loans are very cheap).

Attacking/box to box midfielder. Possibly to replace Perry if he leaves.
or just because theyve lined up as a 433 so far rather than a 4231 and so needed more central midfielders, especially as O'Reilly seems to be playing wide.
Regardless, any bodies needed right now to fill the bench.
He's got good pedigree - regular in PL2 and at England youth levels.
