Fits the bill. 24yo forward. Relegated with Cheltenham so would be a good move for him. Played for Paul Hursts' Grimsby on loan last season. And we all know MM likes to poach from Cheltenham. He is currently out of contract and has had an offer made according to Cheltenham's retained list released a few hours ago. www.ctfc.com/news/2024/april/202324-retained-and-released-list/

Didn't he score two against Town around Xmas, From Cheltenham so would be a Micky Moore recruit? Played for Paul Hurst's Grimsby on loan at one time?
So if he was to prove a good signing it would be a success for Paul Hurst, if he's no good then it's Moore's fault

Didn't he score two against Town around Xmas, From Cheltenham so would be a Micky Moore recruit? His two against town were his only goals all season! Has been at Cheltenham since he was a kid though so Moore would know him well. Never been a regular for them though in his whole time. 58 starts across 6 seasons and 8 goals

Also I believe hes a wide man / attacking mid so I think the scoring contribution record is about par.

Yes, the two against town record sets him up well for the "scores freely in training, but not against other teams" tag I'm sure I've heard before.

Speculative I know, but what the heck!
Jack Nolan is out of contract at Accrington, only 22 but has certainly made his mark this season.
A winger too!

Under 17 England, sounds interesting.

Think you’ve found a gem …….. Also may not be too keen to resign with them either….. “ Accrington Stanley winger Jack Nolan has asked supporters to stop their "abuse" of players on social media and at the struggling club's home matches.”
Nolan says the response to Stanley's 3-0 defeat to Bradford City "cut deep" and affected his family.
Just shows player abuse on social media does affect the way they look at fans.

George Lloyd from Cheltenham I’ve been told today. But of course these are all rumours. Whilst on stats alone, it doesn't look inspiring, you've got to be realistic that we are going to be limited on the players we can attract because of our finances, plus lets not forget that under Hurst we signed a lot of lower league journeyman but went on to have a great season It certainly sounds like Moore has rated him in the past: www.sportsmax.tv/football/international/item/136491-cheltenham-s-george-lloyd-hailed-as-unplayable-after-brace-in-win-over-shrews"I know in the past, Micky Moore (former director of football, now at Shrewsbury) has worked really hard to keep him at the club and it’s paid dividends because when he is like that, he truly is unplayable"

Worth bearing in mind before we discuss Lloyd in too much detail who this rumour has come from, and whether it's worth discussing.

The goalkeeping situation will be interesting with Harry going and Marosi's having an offer. I wonder if it will be a superior No.1 and a youthful understudy (possibly on loan).
That youngest that C***erill had on loan at Forest Green from Norwich looked like he saved his bacon (Pun) a few times.

Jackson Smith ex Wolves, just completed 1st season at Walsall, started as back up but established himself as No 1...good with his distribution and Walsall want him to stay...he has improved his stock considerably and would be a good choice if Marco goes
