x.com/MarosiMarko/status/1800211680087187582Definitely gone then. What’s with the incorrect statements in the goodbye messages from recent players though? First Dunkley got it wrong and now Marosi. Last season wasn’t our second highest finish in our history at all. So strange! Shame but we move on. Any news on the Udoh or Pierre fronts yet?

What's going on with your signing announcements this summer? Die Hard, Bluey and now Star Wars? A very eclectic mix - have your media team suddenly found out how to edit videos?

We do like a double signing of late! Well we did have what seemed like hundreds coming in last pre season when Moore was new to the job. Trouble was very few of them were good enough.

He very rarely gets things wrong. He didn’t feature too much after Hurst took over so perhaps not fancied much by current management.

I called this last year, Hurst even preferred Joe Anderson for the last few games over him. We may well benefit from the Swedish consortium’s wealth after all, in a round-about way.

I mean they aren't going to be paying much More than Hurst probably isn't that bothered about keeping him. A shame if true, as he looked like the exact signing town should be making. To bin off him, Mata, Sobowale, and wouldn't be too surprised if Perry and Idowu also follow, then it is really is condemning last seasons transfers and the proposed ethos.

Yes I think that ethos was maybe a bit silly in hindsight. Beggars can't be choosers.

as much as I like Sraha im also suspicious about Burtons new board here, is this interest based on a game they watched late in 2023 when nosing around us as an interested buyer ? either they spotted great potential or dont have a very long list ?

So that's todays defender signing then. No one totally new coming in yet then I guess.
Aaron sounds like he is looking forward to a good pre season, bet he wont when he is going through it.....

Sraha looked at times immense in the Taylor 3, but was barely seen under Hurst.
Based on the former id be disappointed to see him go as he looked like someone who may be a good fee generating asset with a fair few games for town. That said if they are offering a modicum fee and a sell on percentage then it's a no brainer to sell.

One of the few defenders in recent times who's actually looked like he can control and pass a football too. Pierre re-signed, content with that, happy to admit he proved me wrong last year.

nice one, my favourite moment last season was when Hurst threw him up top late on v derby and he grabbed us an equaliser, masterstroke ;-)

Really pleased about this. A great defender who strengthens the left side of the team.
And with a career record of 1 goal in every 12 games, at least as good an option as many of our recent strikers when thrown up front at the end of a game (although the probable truth is that most of them came from corners spread throughout the game).

****ing hell. We've gone from Moore buying only youngsters, to having the oldest central defence in League 1! Love it.
