Town: Marosi, Feeney, Dunkley, Flanagan, Benning, Winchester, Perry, Bennett, Bayliss, Shipley, Udoh.
Subs: Burgoyne, Sraha, Hinchy, Bowman, Idowu, O'Brien, Bloxham.
A rare start for Elliott Bennett and Jack Price not to be seen.

Bit of a surprise with Bennett in. Probably a bit more of a 4321 rather than 4231 I presume. Bayliss and Shipley probably a bit narrower off Udoh
No Price once again.
Sobowale straight out of the squad
Be surprised if town can get anything out of today, but who knows. COYB 👍

Looks like we’re going for experience. Only thing I’d do differently is play Hinchy over Perry who I don’t think has offered too much. Hopefully he can give us that flash of quality we know he’s capable of!

Hopefully he can give us that flash of quality we know he’s capable of! Surprised with Hinchy. Including this one he will have only started 3 of the last 8 games. Considering issues in midfield, Hurst clearly doesn't seem to think he's offering enough. Bet he will go to another league one side next season and be brilliant!

To be honest I'll be more than happy if we can end the day with the 6/7 point gap between us and Port Vale and Cheltenham in place.
Much as I'd love to see us pick up a point or win today, it seems unlikely given the position Portsmouth are in, and potentially Vale and Cheltenham could pick up points from their away games against sides with not much to play for, so I'll be keeping an eye on those games as much as Towns today.
I think as long as these sides don't start picking up wins we should be ok, as I can see us griding out a few draws from the raimaing matches but if Vale and Cheltenham start winning we might need to press for wins a bit more, which I'm not sure this side is that great at doing.

I’m hoping PH got this line-up right but I ain’t hopeful. Looks like a case of take what happens and move one! I mean, it’s not as if it will greatly influence our goal difference if we lose it!

PH wont get a side right this side of next August. Unfortunately he doesnt have the players available to get the side right till after the summer.

I doubt many town fans would predict us getting anything out of this game. So a Salop win incoming.

True regarding our goal difference although I suppose you would worry what a heavy defeat might do for moral but even so, does look a free hit this. Might as well have a go and try and be the party poopers.
Big crowd. Pitch looks good. Bit windy miller though by the looks.
Come on Town.

Hope I'm wrong but starting with Bennett & Perry will see us get ripped apart in the middle , I'll go for 3-0 before half time 😧

Town playing a narrow 4 2 3 1 turning into a 4 5 1 when defending

Very poor defending from town. Dunkley was standing still and manages to just kick it into his own net.

4 terribly misplaced passes so far. With their quality we have to make sure we do not waste possession.

Not sure what Bloxham has done but he'd be starting every game till the end of the season for me.

Pompey have had 87% of possession so far. Pathetic from Salop.

Pompey have had 87% of possession so far. Pathetic from Salop. We're "roping the dopes", let them think they are on top, then hit them with a Shipley equaliser.
