I think Hurst has one eye on next season and will use these next eight games to decide if they're up to it. Have to assume we will have an option on them in our favour if all goes well.

Confirmed now by Hurst that he is training with the club, but does this mean he's signing?
Anyway I'll start defrosting the Humble Pie ready to put in the oven for tea :-)

I did not think we would ever sign him up. I will refer judgement just yet though. Will he even play ? I don't think so yet, there is already another new guy to blood yet.

To put it in Matt Taylor terms “Does Jack Price improve our midfield. Yes.”
Price is the playmaker we’ve been crying out for, even if he’s only 75% fit he walks into our first team, finance wise him actually wanting to play for us and stay local is a massive bonus.

If we had a natural right back, the prospect of Price & Winchester sitting behind an improved Bloxham, Bayliss & Shipley would definitely inspire confidence.
The out of contract situation is going to be wild in the summer.

I'm Hoping by 5.00pm Saturday we will be six more points nearer safety. With the pressure off Hurst can then experiment a little with Tulloch and Price and whichever reserves he thinks might step up next season.

Price has only recently got back on the grass...Achilles injuries can be a nightmare...mine took 2 years before I could walk without a limp.

Seems pretty quiet , would have expect him to be lording it up every week now there is a good chance they will have their cup final over two legs in League 1 next season. Must try harder. |

Done deal or not, it's surely getting too close to being a done season to expect anything significant - or even anything at all - from this player by the end of next month.
It's up to the existing squad to see us home, or not.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he signs after the Carlisle game, it would give him another two weeks to gain more fitness without the pressure of a game coming up.
