Cracking stuff β much, much improved.
Hardly cause for dancing on the tables at Wetherspoons, but nice to do the double over a Northampton team that are a solid top-half outfit.
Let's see if we bring anyone in before close of play on 1 February and then plough on with getting to 50 points.

OK, yes, that was rather good, but no need to go mad about it; keeping our feet on the ground is the priority, as I'm sure PH will make clear to the players and us fans. All in all, an excellent team display under a Head Coach who seems to know what he is doing, unlike MT; more importantly, whatever PH has been saying to the players, they certainly seemed to have understood and bought into it.

One swallow doesnβt make a summer as the saying goes but it certainly sounded like we were much improved. Can we get to 50pts before the end of March ?

Udoh miraculously back back and starts 3 weeks into a 6 week lay off, and people still believe what Moore said at the meeting?
The bloke wanted out, he must've been talked round, maybe he knows he'll actually see the ball under Hurst.

Couldnβt have asked for a better start, well done all. That should build confidence and we just need some momentum now.
Too early for the βPaul Hurst Wayβ sign but spring is coming.

Yep,pity we never had hursty for the wrexsham game,....that result would of been different for starters ππ Perry missed an even better chance today, Udoh might have made a difference v wrexham, but just think, today wouldn't have happened, and neither might Hurst, and we would be heading to blackburn instead, its all fate

Chinese ordered, Guinness chilling, 3 more points on the board. LOVE IT!
Looking forward to next weeks game even more now.
Interested to see how many extra fans today's performance and result puts on our next home gate.

Just seen the footage of Hurst coming over to the fans to celebrate. A big, fat pat or or two on the badge. I know its early days, this might well be a flash in the pan and I know there are one or two who aren't keen because of his departure the last time around...but I do think he wants to be here, I do think he has some leaning toward the club and as well as that, something I've always thought (but not mentioned so much), is that I think he knows more than most that he made a mess of it last time and probably has as many "what ifs" as we do. No doubt this will all go tits up over the next few weeks but I'm going to enjoy this as much as I can anyhow. I mean considering how the seasons gone we'd be daft not to.

Everything I said was wrong came to pass. Hurst got it right and the players did everything today what wasnβt happening under Taylor.

Thought weβd get done today despite Hurst joining us for a second go. Northampton looking to get up into the play offs and Town not doing well . Surprise , we turned up , confidently playing football and making a fair few chances. A wonderful result , we certainly needed that . Always thought we would survive but toward the end of MTβs tenure things looked iffy. Perhaps now we have at last found a way of playing which suits us I really hope so. The sunlit uplands await .π

Don't think anybody can criticise Paul Hurst over his coaching/ manager role..... he'd already proved he was a good coach in 17/18....and that is what this team needed, and I don't mean just this season..... we've been poor to watch, with this 5-3-2 s**t,for the last 3/4 years in my opinion π€·π€·π€·

Well done Town, though I was in the 'no to Hurst' campaign I always knew he was likely to improve results and performances enough to keep us safe from the relegation scrap.
Great start, hopefully plenty more to come. 5 wins should be more than enough.

Do we need any new players now??? Yes. I would say that some competition for the full back positions is needed. We also still need to sort out what's happening with the remaining injured loanees and as for O'Brien, heaven knows.

Remarkable what can be achieved in 48 hours! lets not get too carried away and start setting the bar high again, dont forget they went to London midweek and had probably one of their best results for many seasons, we had a rest, saying that I cant help feeling, had Taylor still been here, Udoh wouldn't have quite been fit, kenneh would have started, 5 at the back, we would have had chances but 0-0 late on they would have sneaked a goal and we would have come on unlucky losers again, I am confident for a win next week , especially if we can bring in a right back and anther attacking wide player its a fantastic start all the same

Well - that was a great day out! A team that had been puttering along like a clapped out Skoda transformed into a Rolls-Royce overnight - was it really the same players? That was the best I have seen us play for years (in fact since Hurst last managed us). There was definitely a sense of excitement in the away end before the match and we were not disappointed, dominant from the off, totally bossing the midfield, passing to feet quickly all over the pitch and first to the second balls. We outrun, outpassed and outfought one of the form teams in the division and 4-0 would have been a fairer reflection of the game. Also great to be sat next to Tom Bloxham's dad who was rightly encouraging his lad throughout. No MOTM for me - the whole team were magnificent today. Roll on the rest of the season!
