One thing I’ve taken from today’s game….Marosi has hardly been mention in the commentary - which in itself tells a story. Most of the second half has been played in Northampton’s half of the field

We badly need somthing from this game things are so tight at the bottom, prior to the game we were only 3 points away from dropping into the bottom four. From the posts town are having a good game, I hope we can hold on and not run out of steam a second goal by town be very welcome [br. I must be psychic!!]

Get in! These 2 commentators have been so condescending it’s unreal. So glad we’re beating them just for that. Honestly can’t believe this is the same team!

Make no mistake, this is absolutely night and day away from where we've been.
Attacking intent, s**t loads of attempts, ball on the floor, this is a great start.

Perhaps not, safety first!

Yes All credit to Hurst and the players he has not been here five minutes and wil have had very little training time with the squad but he has managed to make an impact.
I'm so pleased for the loyal traveling fans who deserve this. It will s still very early days and we have a long way to go but it f he can restore player confidence and get some results we might get just be able to turn things around

Did I just hear these idiots call Pierre ‘porky?’ Apparently he was a really good player for them too before he moved to us. They seem nice people.

A great start for Hursty. The players have just shown what they can do when they are coached properly by people who know what they are doing. Obviously, we've now got to build on this but at last we're off the 30-point mark and that performance has got to be a major confidence booster.

Brilliant - Winchester my MoM (but it could have been Dunkley, Benning, actually quite a few); what a difference a week makes.
SUPERB !!!!!

Have to say I was in the camp of sticking with Taylor as I felt the side had a decent chance of picking up points today and against Cambridge. Whilst that could still have happened today really is so much about the improved performance and style of play as the result
Much as Taylor was a very decent bloke the evidence of having an experienced manager and coach in, making the best of the squad is day and night different to the last few weeks
Really does bring into question quite how effective the summer recruitment was as I’m pretty sure other coaches/manager’s could achieve similar with this set of players

going to 4 at the back rather than 5 was seamless too, no issues at all and everyone played great!

All credit to Hurst and the players he has not been here five minutes and wil have had very little training time with the squad but he has managed to make an impact. I guess when you look to the run we were on and the lack of any suggestion the previous manager could turn it around, perhaps just a change in itself might have done enough to see a change. I hope you get what I mean, just the change in itself may have seen the players approach the game with a different mindset. Whatever happened over the last couple of days anyhow, they looked more comfortable and a lot more confident today. Just had this from my dad.... "The prodigal returns then Dave. The faithful will be up on the castle looking for the three wise men coming from the East". Indeed. Time for a beer!!!

For a long time I have thought these players have been kept back with the tactics we attempted, today we find out. And found out we did! That was probably our best performance since the last time Hurst was here. Simply brilliant from start to finish from every single player. If it was not for a MOTM performance from there keeper it could have easily been another 7-0 hammering. Special mentions Pierre - absolutely epic at the back, won everything. Shipley - Involved in everything positive we did, should have scored a couple Winchester - Deep lying playmaker should now be renamed as "the Winchester role" Benning - Considering he was signed to be 5th choice LB he is turning into a real Gem of a player Baylis - grew into the game and reminded us of the quality he has. I look forward to him getting fitter and fitter. Feeney - I have been his biggest critic but he was very good today like he was last week. Starting to see why Carlisle tried so hard to keep him Our left hand side of Benning, Shipley and Baylis linking up is a joy to watch. If we continue with this system then I think a RB/RW is more important than a striker. MT really was clueless with his tactics and today confirms it. We have never come close to a performance like that.
