Is there much pace in your line up? Our defenders are notoriously slow and time and again struggle with players running direct at them. George Evans offers a degree of protection but only so much he can do. Run at the heart of our back 3 and I think you’ll win. Play the long ball and we might sneak it.

Poor wasn’t it. Wrexham haven’t turned up yet and this performance is a fine example of how home and away performances being chalk and cheese.

Bowman v McLean is interesting isn't it. I reckon Bowman is saying how overpaid are you?

We should be one up, an excellent first half from town, I can see us tiring in the second half as we chase the ball and try to force an error.
In some periods Wrx look very comfortable and confident in passing it around the backs to create that space in the central midfield area and then push forward, it hasn’t been effective enough to cause us any great problems but given the shenanigans going on off the ball Dunkley et al will need to be strong and disciplined.

Im not getting at you but is that a generalisation, or specific to your team?

OK from Town but we ought to be one goal up looking to that chance for Sobowale, he did the hardest thing missing that. The concern for me is that Wrexham closed the half out looking the better side.

Oh for a 6ft 2 + strong box predator.
Delivery in from both sides has been pretty strong.
Discipline needed against a typical parkinson side imo. All that resource and the usual chunping from his team seen so many times down the years ( colchester, Bolton, Bradford).

Should’ve been a straight red for Mullen…not even booked!

Honestly thought Wrexham would be better! Fancy our chances this half.

Kenneh has been done for about 15 mins. Barely moving. Winchester snaps at heels on that build up and probably stops it. We've had no midfield most of this half.

Should’ve been a straight red for Mullen…not even booked! They always seem to have a striker I don't like, Mullen is a horrible hard worker, but he's not even spoken to by the looks... pathetic officials

Frustrating for sure looking to the chances we have had and failed to take but I just look at that goal conceded, the problem is I don't think we have that kind of football in us whilst unfortunately they do. Come on Town.

We're no doubt going to talk about the chances but thinking about it, did their keeper have to make a save today?

Didn't deserve to lose that, I expected a bigger defeat, our quality though is just damn terrible.
Horrible day

We're no doubt going to talk about the chances but thinking about it, did their keeper have to make a save today? No. The end product is beyond woeful. Chances fall to players who are lower league 2 finishers at best. No clinical cutting edge and we carry a holding mid who's gassed after 55 minutes. Marosi and Dunkley must be fuming over watching what goes on in front of them.

The sad truth is we are just not good enough. Always a Town fan and I said on a previous thread we are not at the bottom of the dip yet. Shrew forever
