I believe the management structure we have is our best opportunity to build a squad capable of sustained upper league 1/lower Championship over the next couple of seasons. Let's not throw it all away on a knee jerk reaction and resorting to the manager-go-round who all want to spend money getting their favoured players in. Our DOF and assistant coach have a long history of failing at lower league clubs and getting sacked by smaller clubs than us - I think Northwestman posted all the details the other day, it’s scary As for our Head Coach, not much to go by but he did a crap job at Walsall and has so far done the same here If you think this lot can get us in to the Championship, can I have some of what you’re smoking please? 😂 Our best chance is firstly getting some overdue investment in, and then getting an experienced manager in like last season you seem to be getting desperate for bites now, accusations of drug taking and mentioning cotterill again

From your post ‘firstly getting some overdue investment in’ I’d agree but that’s not going to happen in the next month so all we can do is hope for a turn around, support the team as positively as possibly. Stay away fans don’t help, negative chants during the game don’t help, turn up in numbers and support the team does. Forcing the owners hand could well result in another Taylor / Ricketts Scenario or worse Moore and Bignot…. Anyone who’s bought a ticket for Wrexham and isn’t going to Fleetwood needs to think 🤔

Imagine a world where potential managers set out their manifesto, fans voted, and then that was it for five years. Of course it doesn't work like that, RW owns the club and makes the decisions, but shouldn't a new management structure, such a huge change, be given a season or two?

Depends if it looks like things are improving or showing signs of improvement, I'd argue we're somehow looking worse week on week. Anyway, it's not the coach or manager that'll change things, the club is stagnant from the top down.

There are three options:
- Rip up the new structure and return to a manager - Retain the structure but make changes in personnel at DoF and/or head coach level - Keep faith with Moore, Taylor and co
Number one will never happen again for as long as Roland remains imo, and it feels like Moore’s got his feet firmly under the table so the only likely change will be Taylor. And the question isn’t if, it’s when.

Does anyone know who else was in the running for the head coach role, before it was offered to Taylor?
Was he actually the front runner from day one?

I don't see 1 happening any time soon but if things aren't going in the right direction (e.g relegation) and someone in the footballing world convinces Roland that he's got the wrong structure then he could go back to the 'old way'. I'd love to know who it was who told him that the DoF route was one we needed to go down in the first place. In the meantime, I think we will stick to the third option and Taylor will be given time. We know that the last 4 games have been awful but less than a month ago we were 11th, a win tomorrow and next week will give a very different look to things. But we know of course that's a very big if. I suspect Roland is thinking back to 12 months ago when we had a poor festive period and the natives were restless, he held his nerve and things turned around in January. That looks very unlikely based on recent performances, however anyone who was at the Fleetwood game on new years day did not see us winning the next 6 At the moment Moore looks untouchable but such is Roland's ability to fall out with people and change his mind, you wouldn't put money on Moore to be here in 12 months time.

Fortunately that is not the way it works in football, but doesn't a huge shift in direction like our management changes deserve a little time to kick in and kick on? Not sure about that. A flawed structure, or the inadequacy of those in key positions within the structure, will never provide a good outcome no matter how long it is in place. I appreciate that football these days demands instant results and individuals are not often given the luxury of time. I assume that the post-Cotterill structure now in place was in response to some alleged financial mis-management during that period. If that is the case, then surely the key question is; how on earth was the team manager allowed to spend a single penny without the exercise of due diligence and control by the chairman, directors, or CEO.

The CEO was the one who walked first. Steve C appeared to be given a few days to decide if he wanted to work in the new way. Disadvantage of personal fiefdom ownership is we will probably never know if there was a personal thief, though that might have happened in any organisation, how many times do we see top execs bugger off quick before the whatnot hits the oojah.

I was just putting the option out there, a reasonable one I would say, to add to the ones already listed.

Does anyone know who else was in the running for the head coach role, before it was offered to Taylor? Was he actually the front runner from day one? Believe Moore said he wanted to interview an England youth coach but the FA denied permission. Highly doubt it was Carsley (a mate of Moores) so maybe Ian Foster or Simon Rusk.
